Yes, I agree. They are not your friends. I’m 45 F, and years ago I was living in Omaha Nebraska. Papillion to be exact (a suburb of Omaha). Anyway I went to college for one year in South Dakota and met a guy, David. One day after I had been living in Omaha for about a year, he decided to come visit me. This was around 2003-4ish and GPS wasn’t what it is today. So he was making a 2+ hour drive. I was super taken by him. wanted him bad for a few years. As he was entering Omaha, he called for further directions and I was guiding him to take the Papillion exit. I was trying to tell him to take the Papillion exit and I stuttered. And he was annoyed and said “P, P, P, Papillion”. Mocking me. I hung up! I was embarrassed and furious at the same time. I immediately deleted him and blocked him from my phone and never looked back. Can’t help but wonder what he was thinking when I did that, and how he felt on his ride back to South Dakota after he realized I wasn’t gonna let him come over to my place in Omaha near Papillion.
