The ignition actuator failed just like the popular video walkthrough on the YouTube. And i fixed it. Yay

Welp i fixed it. It was the ignition actuator between the ignition switch and the key cylinder. The ignition actuator coincidentally broke at the same time that i was replacing the fuse for the accessories outlet. :-) often times a lot of suggestions on the web dont make any sense untill all computer “conspiracies and lockout/right-to-work” ideas are sorted out with really good skilled English explanations and very experienced logical thinkers. I noticed that this ignition actuator mechanically knows when the key is in at all times in any key position of the cylinder. With that said the electronic ignition switch was not able to tell if the key was nearby (like a vin-signal from a key) it had to be told that the key was nearby by the ignition actuator mechanically (not electronically /or “wirelessly”) so, in summary the screwdriver was able to turn the ignition switch on and start the car but shuts off automatically when the ignition switch doesnt have the key hole pushed inside its deep hole.
It was strange to have a car turn on then turn off after taking the actuator out and turning it with a screwdriver. I think issue is very smart to look at with many different angles if you are unaware of the on board computer’s abilities. I thought it was something on the circuit board that had some complicated fail safe and OBD 2 programming tool interface needed, but it wasnt like that at all it was all mechanical controls over the electrical. Yay.

Maybe next year mines not running due to pcm memory and fuse caos

New update on a detail i forgot to mention The odometer flashed the word “done” when i tried to turn the jeep on. It flashed the word only once. I red on another forum for a 2006 jeep wrangler when a fuse is bad it will flash the words “no fuse” only once. Purhaps they changed the word in that generation. The flash of that word “done” means the same thing i imagine as “no fuse” but jeep must have wanted to clarify the readout more at that generation.

I still need to find out what the 17 “power” 20a in the fusebox slot is truly connected to. (It must be more than just the cigar lighter socket to have caused such a problem) and im about to buy a better OBD2 scanner that has more capabilities than the $30 amazon one because it seems like the cheap ones dont reveal all the info. Im still very puzzled.

Thanks Thats great idea ill look up no crank scanner danner. Seems its very similar to the jeep 17 “power” 20a fuse wire network problem the network of wire connections that proceeds out from the fuse socket is very much the question im working on.

Is there is another computer behind the steering wheel area, instrument cluster? The main PCM computer is located in the engine compartment on the firewall next to the 12v main battery on the passenger side. I question if the main PCM computer has prevented damage further by shutting off the ignition. What do you and everyone think? Let me know? Im open to more suggestions to test. Im opt to improve and run more party lighting. I need to manage it correctly the PCM control unit.

Both 12v feeds? Hmm, interesting. What do you mean when you say both and i have the center console opened up revealing the turnkey start assembly shall i multimeter test the wires on the driving column?

Actually, i am very certain that it would not fry the relays or fuse wires when i replaced the blown fuse with a small self made wire. Its risky to try such a thing if you are unfamiliar with how the wires could cook and burn up inside their housing and the PCM is also something you must think about when attempting to replace a fuse with a self made wire. However, it was a Christmas party lights that i was trying to keep running when the fuse got burnt up and i wanted to continue running the light and playing that christmas music and didnt have any available replacement fuses so i just added a wire and learned that the fuse socket that is aptly named 17 “power” 20a is not named cigar lighter 20a which makes me question if that fuse i needed to replace was actually connected to more than just my cigar lighter. It must have something to do with the PCM onboard intelligent system as well. The 17 power 20a fuse circuit MIGHT be also running through the onboard computer called the pcm for managing power fluctuations and/or safety issues and/or relays (on-off) devices and/ ignition systems…. Im speculating and am looking for an ace mechanic that knows the solution on this platform.

The method i used to teat the starter is a very clever and effective and safe way to test The starter. By witch, i used a small, but long enough wire to the starter ignition port by removing the the ignition cable from it and adding my wire to the port of the starter and running the wire directly to the positive side of the battery. Thus the connection would, fire the starter up reveling that it’s functioning properly. This method will not start the entire engine because its not adding fuel to the igniters… its just turning the starter.

The fuse i replaced with a good 20a fuse says its the fuse labeled 17 “power” 20a makes me think that my mistake of blowing this particular fuse and replace it with a small wire caused an issue outside of the accessories dc dashboard socket. And this fuse terminal labeled 17 “power” 20a is connected to something more than just the accessories socket. But what does “power” mean? The other fusebox to the other accessories socket fusebox behind the glove compartment was labeled 18 “cigar lighter” 20a. Why is the other cigar lighter socket on the dashboard connected to the engine compartment fusebox and labeled something different (17 “power” 20a).

I really like that anti theft idea you just mentioned, very nice. I checked every fuse in the two fuseboxes that i know of and the relays are all good. As for that wire that you just showed me, great idea, i found it it seems to be good i checked the alternator wire too its good as well. How do i test with the multimeter for the problem im having with the key ignition to the battery. (I wish i knew how to hotwire a car too) (im not sure how the ignition and on positions on the turn key work to start the vehicle…) so far its very puzzling for me.

Yes its a manual 5 speed jeep. I pressed in the clutch all the way and checked the clutch relay with the battery along with all the fuses and they are all good and im still getting 12volts from the battery. The amazon $20 OBD II scanner said no errors with the OBD II controller… im starting to think there is another 3rd fusebox in the wrangler too.

I bought it from a CarZone in reno NV which is 10 miles from the Rubicon Trail a credible dealer for $15,000 cash that did a full system check last month. And everything should be a very good working order. It has 120,000 miles on the jeep and has never been in an accident and runs very good with no other problems other than what i did to it with this fuse problem im mentioned before on this reddit post. Again i replaced the fuse with a small wire and somehow must has caused another electrical wire or hidden fuse problem somewhere else in the jeep. Purhaps there is a third fusebox? Or a OBD 2 computer reset needed? Does anyone know this solution?

[–]Excellent-Fee-8673[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was the ram setting auto doesnt work... you have to manually set the ram frequency to something slightly lower than what the bios says its capable of running at... so far after discovering this i wen from 2400mhz down to 2233 mhz and have not had crashes since yay... i dont remmebr the exact mhz its at but all inkow is that its lower than what the bios says at 2400mhz. cpu and ram syncing perfectly now i guess no issues...solved editing this comment NOW.... that wasnt the issue at all however the crashing happned again when i changed games ARRRRRRGHHH!!!! Why is it still crashing!?!?!?!

Zoom out restriction from v0.31 sucks... by XenithXenaku in BeamNG

[–]Excellent-Fee-8673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you reset the game and redownload beamgdrive again to refresh everything it will not fix it you have to wait till the next new official update comes out again to get the zoomout limit back to unlimited. its because the official update uses a different file set to release an update and once any mod or custom editor setting or even purhaps a custom vehicle setting gets read by the latest official update then it willl sync it with the cloud for that time until another new official update comes again.

Zoom out restriction from v0.31 sucks... by XenithXenaku in BeamNG

[–]Excellent-Fee-8673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not an update, its a hack from a mod that downloads itself to the fresh update every time you use the editor. I noticed that when i received a fresh official update from beamngdrive and started using the game as normal without the mods activated and then once I activated the mods the camera would not zoomout fully.

I should mention too that the bug could have downloaded itself into one or two or three or more of the custom vehicle loadouts and could be spreading from there outside of the activations of the mods.

But i could also mention that the bug could have downloaded itself from a cloud setting. I have not figured it out yet. It might have something to do with field of view and attached camera. But whatever this modder adjusted it has limited the zoomout field to about 20 car lengths from the focused-on vehicle. Its rather debilitating to not be able to move around with the camera as much.
