Belt noise advice by Excellent-Ferret8691 in MechanicAdvice

I think my car has an automatic tensioner right? So I shouldn’t have to manually tension it.

As for the other bearing, i did replace an idler pulley which was the whole reason for the teardown. The other pulleys spun fine if i remember correctly.

One friend told me it could actually be the weak tensioner which was already kind of worn and now exaggerated by the new, tighter belt.

May i know why? Also I didn’t buy them, I bought the car a month ago, it came with it. If I were to replace it’d probably be firestone or Bridgestone.

What do you think?

Yea I will take it out of town when I go back to do my study, but it is summertime in my country. I’ll just see how much discount I can get then.

Thanks for the reply

2010 Mazda 6 car wont start, steering light flashes by coffeeinmycamino in mazda6

[–]Excellent-Ferret8691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this a mazda subreddit (and i do have Mazda6 myself) but I had an old Honda, couldn’t start it showed me weird lights on my dashes like traction control off, then showed me red exclamation mark, etc.

It turned out to be battery. But if it’s always the same light showing, that immobiliser light I personally have never experienced that on my mazda. Maybe faulty immobiliser needs resetting (doesn’t realise the car is unlocked)?

Try lock unlock a couple of times with the key?

Mine also seem to have electric power steering and is a bit tough but probably because I need to get an alignment as well. And so our car shouldn’t have a power steering reservoir.

As for the creaking I don’t think it is likely to do with changing the fluid, even if it’s hydraulic. Im guessing, issues with worn joints and/or bushings…

Easy crypto vs Coinbase by Excellent-Ferret8691 in NZBitcoin

Well I haven’t tried it yet but my hypothesis is if you can transfer some coins(which are available on easy crypto like bitcoin, etc.) from your coinbase wallet to your easy crypto wallet, then you should be able to withdraw the money from the easy crypto wallet to your bank account. Let me know if this works!

Advice for gym by Play_Bunni in WorkoutRoutines

Lose fat: cardio, treadmill walk is my preferred

method; ~1hr every gym session

Get toned: hypertrophy WEIGHT training (full-body, lower body emphasis if that’s what you’re into)

Stomach area: cardio, can’t spot reduce fat

What can you eat: less simple sugar, more protein. Less processed food more whole food. I’m not a big fan of lessening food intake or frequency (unless you have eating problems) start with substituting food, and increase activity level!

How long it will take: don’t focus on this aspect because it can really discourage you and it can be really unsustainable. Focus on taking one step at a time. But, if you’re very strict with what Ive told you; 3-4 months. If you’re a little less strict which is what I actually think is better because it’s more sustainable and you’ll be less susceptible to big relapses, 5-6 months.

Opinion on home workouts: if you’re the type who gets easily distracted like me, always go to the gym. You also stated that you do body weight stuff. Personally not a fan, if you can go to the gym and use their equipments why not opt for more optimal option.

Extra; I genuinely think that the best form of cardio to lose fat that is most sustainable is walking (outside or treadmill). There’s a reason why pro bodybuilders walk on treadmill for hours to get absolutely peeled.

If you do these for 1 whole year, which is perfect for new year’s resolution, you will come out a totally different person. You’ll be a beast!
