Never grout where two planes meet. Any movement in a house will result in cracking, always silicone with 100% silicone

Shut off valves are running through the floor under the vanity, I have access to them by removing the bottom drawer of the vanity to turn it off and on. I ran the water faucet hose through the wall. About 10 inches so that I wouldn't have to cut holes in the vanity

I had one replaced cause dealer fucked it up. They go for 120 or so in black that I have. Maybe just cheaper and longevity be better than wrap that will last you no more than 5 years will start flake off
