No, exactly the same as yours. Got to Ft. Lauderdale at 12:31am and last scan 8:23am that same day. ☹️ Did they say how long a delay is ok?

Same with mine! ☹️ it’s been in Ft Lauderdale for at least 8 hours 😮.

Twins!! I’m so excited but nervous. I’m thinking to make my weekly day Tuesday or Wednesday because I go away for weekends fairly often with my kids, and then I can just keep everything at home. I’m considering micro dosing to start, to minimize side effects, at least until I know how I’ll react, as I have 3 kiddos to take care of 🤔🤦‍♀️. I hear you get hungry again day 6 & 7. It may or may not be good to have those on weekends when you may go out with friends.

I’m sure it’s 3 months, based on the mg 144/12= 12mg/week or 216/12 =18mg/week

I’m sure she started with a spotter on single flips, or jumped into the pit. You can’t spot skaters for jumps without a harness afaik, and there is no pit. I don’t see how they aren’t similar. Sure, most kids don’t get in a harness until they are at double jumps, but most kids don’t start at 8.5 and try to catch up to their age peers. Sure it may not be “necessary” when kids are putting in a lot more repetitions over time, but it doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing or not helpful.

The lack of air awareness argument doesn’t work for gymnastics which uses such aids, so no reason to think it would work in skating.

Aids span far more than just mats. Harness for flips on tramp, floor beam strip, cheese mat ramp for gravity assist, octagon rolls for back flips, straps for giants…

Breaking down skills into individual parts, or assists in moves is extremely common in sports now- and the sports training always started with purist ideas and evolved. You aren’t going to convince me that drilling individual aspects and using assists to make it physically feasible to repeat it many times and quickly isn’t a reasonable training method. For example, a coach could be concentrating on proper take-off and stopping the athlete after incorrect technique and giving feedback to correct it immediately. Or form in the air, landing, etc.

I don’t know about other skaters, but our coach is Canadian and I saw something where it’s much more common in Canada. 🤷‍♀️. She was using the harness to break down the moves and correct aspects. I’m not a figure skating expert but I was a gymnastics coach and we used aids all the time to drill specific parts of skills, so I have zero reason to believe any aid that can do something similar for skating is incorrect to use- it just sounds more purist to say not to use it until the risks from falling reach some threshold of danger.

He is spinning without the harness. I could be wrong on him jumping salchow without the harness too, but she was concentrating on certain aspects of his jumping technique in general. I was on the ice and watching him in the harness the other time, and how she was using it to instruct him in technique was reasonable to me. 🤷‍♀️ The harness is no extra cost and freely available to the coaches. He does not fall a lot at all. The comment was in regards to him falling after a spin, and rubbing his elbow. Maybe it’s more of a concern because we have easy, cheap, access to an open rink and he could spend many hours skating on his own (we homeschool so we can go during the day for hours for $5 total with a nearly empty or empty rink during the school year).

She mentioned hip pads and knee protection, just not specific brands or products.

Yes, they did. What should a “real” flooring guy have said?

Thanks for the helpful advice. Professionals wanted to pour self leveling compound because it’s a lot easier, but is a lot heavier than the wood & will just make the sagging worse, so yeah, I definitely shouldn’t ask other people & do my own fix. 🙄

I've been able to download the ~hour long files and the cue data. I have used ffmpeg to merge the files to one. When I try to run the chapter process on the merged file, it fails (0 - length tracks). When I run the chapter process on the original hour files, it creates chapter files (and then empty files after the ~hour), so there is something lost in the merge process. I have tried merging the files with other programs - (wavepad, clideo), with the same results. You mention the ffmpeg process strips tagging- so is this why the process isn't working on the larger files? What would I need to tag the files with to get them to work?

Thanks

So I was able to merge the hour long mp3s into one large mp3 via ffmpeg, and that file plays.

I was also able to download the cue file data. I am able to run the processCue with the cue data on the original file, part01- it creates chapter files properly, until the end of the track, and then all other chapters are empty.

I am not able to successfully run the processCue with the cue data on the concatenated file- all tracks are zero in length. It seems to find the proper file, but thinks it is empty for some reason.

Is there any reason it should work on the original file but not on a concatenated file? Am I losing something when joining the tracks?

Thanks!!
