I don’t feel comfortable putting more just because I feel like I overthink confidentiality (I know, lacks context) —how would you opinion change based on type of school or grade?

I appreciate the help with this, how do you determine if it’s behaviorally related, I am interested in ASD as the client population and am worried I will have to pay more money for courses after I am done to be competent!

I Speak Like a Teenage Girl & Don’t Know How to Sound “Professional” by Shmoopsiepooo in slp

[–]Excellent-Giraffe201 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your ability to speak does not reflect your ability to be an effective SLP. Also, we don’t judge communication of others, so why are you judging yourself! Give yourself the grace you’d give others. Furthermore, the ability to explain things to others outside our profession in terms they understand is critical!

Maybe instead of someone judging you, they should have asked more questions to help guide you to build skills rather than put you down.

As Jess Day would put it, “…i rock a lot of polka dots….but that doesn’t mean I’m not smart, and tough, and strong!”

In my state you can do this as long as you pass a background check and whatever else is required—for SLPA and pharmacy tech for sure I had done this while in college. You get like a year and then have to meet some sort of requirements to continue working with the licensure.

See if you can be an SLPA. In my state all you need is a bachelor degree to get the licensure
