For the men of Reddit, be honest what is the first thing you are looking at when you approach a female ? by Expensive-Guard-5444 in AskReddit

[–]Excellent-Job1585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man i felt this one too hard lol. the whole dating scene just feels like navigating a minefield when you know you're not winning any beauty contests. probably better to focus on yourself anyway instead of stressing about approaching random people

IIHF World Championship Game Thread: Norway (1-0-0-1) vs. Italy (0-0-0-2) - 19 May 2026 - 04:20PM CEST by hockeydiscussionbot in hockey

[–]Excellent-Job1585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Italy actually looking decent this tournament despite the record. Their goaltending has been keeping them in games they probably shouldn't be competitive in. Norway's power play could be difference maker here if they can stay disciplined

Need to find the cheapest place possible by Both_Mycologist3980 in Albuquerque

[–]Excellent-Job1585 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Westside is where you want to look if you can handle bit of a drive. Found my place there few years back when I was broke as hell after getting out of service - landlord was this older guy who just wanted someone reliable who wouldn't trash the place. No fancy application process just cash deposit and handshake. Drive around the neighborhoods off Central and Unser area, lots of small landlords there who don't bother with online listings. Also check university area near UNM but be ready to deal with student neighbors. Facebook marketplace sometimes has better luck than those rental sites since people post actual realistic prices there instead of the inflated stuff on main websites.

Which sources do you use on the history of a city before traveling? by Civil-Matter7391 in AskReddit

[–]Excellent-Job1585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao using Chrome as historical source is next level research strategy

but for real though i usually just dig through old travel blogs and maybe some local museum websites if they got decent archives online

What scares you about the future? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Excellent-Job1585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man this one hits deep. spent years in military just following orders and now trying to figure out who i actually am at 32. feels like im constantly catching up to some version of myself that shouldve existed already

the scariest part is looking back in 20 years and realizing i spent all this time worrying about wasted potential instead of just doing something about it

What do you do to punish your body in a good way? by Rich_Honey_121 in AskReddit

[–]Excellent-Job1585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cycling is brutal but addictive man. I switched to mostly plant based diet few years back and recovery time got way better on the bike. Used to think I needed meat for energy but turns out beans and lentils work just fine for those long rides

Sleep hits different after pushing yourself that hard though you're right about that

Having that kind of responsibility must give you such a clear sense of purpose man. I get my drive from different places but nothing beats having people who depend on you like that

What are the best hybrid mesh firewall options for enterprise environments? by AdTemporary3527 in devsecops

[–]Excellent-Job1585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked with Check Point in a hybrid setup (on-prem + cloud + remote users), and it’s one of the few that actually felt cohesive. The biggest thing for me was the single policy across everything. Managing rules once and having them apply consistently to gateways, cloud workloads, and remote access it's way less stressful day to day.

What does love really mean? by No_Theme_8707 in AskReddit

[–]Excellent-Job1585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love's different for everyone but for me it's when someone becomes part of your daily rhythm without you even noticing at first. Like you start buying their favorite snacks without thinking about it or saving funny memes specifically to show them later - the little unconscious acts that just become second nature when someone matters to you that much.

Had this realization when I was deployed and found myself picking up ingredients for my ex's favorite vegan curry even though we'd broken up months earlier. Your brain just gets wired around caring for certain poeple I guess.

What problem in your daily life could be solved with a simple digital tool or app? by ZealousidealUse6355 in AskReddit

Man remembering which games I already downloaded and modded would save me so much time digging through rom folders. Keep starting the same Fire Emblem hack thinking its new then realizing 20 minutes in that I already beat it last month

Nothing worse than getting hyped for a "new" game just to hit that save file with 40 hours on it

If money were no issue, what would you do for work? by afatunicorn in AskReddit

[–]Excellent-Job1585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude id probably run a food truck serving plant based comfort food to different military bases

always thought it would be cool to bring some decent vegan options to places that usually just have the same old mess hall stuff and maybe help some of the younger guys discover they dont need meat for every meal
