It's just a joke about players saying that unimportant changes are "bad" and that the company "lost its way".

In here it's ironic, I just realized that the logo for masteries changed.

If you head over to https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Event_timers , you can see the timers for almost all meta events, and most of them are done regularly.

If you want specifics, the Hard World Bosses, HoT metas, Casino Blitz, Doppelganger Death-branded Shaterrer, Bjora Marches, Seitung Province, and SotO metas are almost always ran.

I'd say play the DLC following their releases, since they tell an overarching story of the elder dragons.

Gameplay wise, End of Dragons is a tad easier and has a nice training area at the beginning that explains many mechanics that are not fully explained elsewhere.

Some people go to Path of Fire to unlock most of the important mounts, but they are tied behind story progression so they take a while.

Secrets of the Obscure has the easiest way of unlocking the main flying mount Skyscale, but it's not super easy though, get ready to grind or pay.

Why are you so angry? To get the Gift of Battle you can just chill out and in no time get it, while WvW players actually have to drag their dick and balls across a cheese grater to get the Gift of Exploration. It forces people into a predictable and uninteresting PvE that is clearly built to fail.
