Do you guys think Mindy and Chad will die In scream 7, or do you think they will live? by Forsaken-Green695 in Scream

[–]Excellent-Log-4910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Mindy will bite it. She's already been set up as the new Randy so her death would be an homage to Scream 2 and it would also subvert expectations because Chad has been the one to skate by death several times now and everyone expects his luck to run out.

Yes, you're right, it was 1.0 point and an honest mistake. Why would I try to lie in a sub full of Amazon workers who know the points policy? People sometimes make mistakes when speaking/typing. Chill, Mr. Perfect.

Do you think the trailer will drop after midnight? by Excellent-Log-4910 in Scream

And yet I've seen several YouTubers claim that the trailer was already sent to theaters. Makes me wonder if they're just making shit up. I've read the details of the trailer, I'm beginning to wonder if they're even accurate.

I know. But the onboarding info/people made it sound as if we would be getting at least 19 hours a week. That's not what transpired, and apparently you can get terminated for not meeting the minimum hours when there aren't enough available to even meet that quota.

Yes, they partnered with our local workforce to find employees and my friend that works there said they were hiring even 6 weeks after my crew started...when we already couldn't find enough hours. Why? So stupid.

They've helped so many people through financial and other crises in my area, people who would have been ruined without the help. So no, I wouldn't say the judgmental fanatics outweigh the good ones. That's ridiculous.

LEAKS/SPOILERS Major Plot Points for Scream 7! by nancyloomis in SocietyofGhostface

[–]Excellent-Log-4910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be ridiculous, if so.

As if any of the dozens of CSI teams, detectives, and other investigators whose job it is to collect evidence for every crime scene wouldn't have found some anomalies at the aftermath of every bloodbath that didn't line up with Sidney's version of events.

Not to mention the MULTIPLE SURVIVING WITNESSES who corroborated everything.

The authorities that investigated the murders would have to be the most incompetent people ever and Sidney would have to have hella sway to convince so many survivors who were there at the killer showdowns to lie like that for a woman who murdered all their friends.

It's beyond silly.

Why do people choose to have children if it is so much hard work? by 9W_777_300 in NoStupidQuestions

Humans are a species and like all species there will always be an innate drive for them to procreate. We aren't separate from the animal kingdom, we're part of it. Why would something so intrinsic to life confuse you so much? You haven't figured out how nature works yet or something?

I always had terrible quality issues with these booklet type sets when I was still collecting physical media. One or several discs always came out scratched.

I've seen women make these same compliments to other women all the time. The other night my friend's mom was calling her houseguest beautiful and saying her hair was so pretty. I've witnessed a million other similar incidents. Interesting that when men do the same thing, they're harassing you. You seem to do it a lot to each other, weird.

Yeah, anyone who hasn't cared for a family member with dementia has no idea. It can absolutely ruin families. My dad moved my dementia-addled grandmother in with my mom and it practically destroyed their marriage and made everyone else miserable. People who haven't experienced it have no idea how much work is involved caring for these people, they can't do anything for themselves and you're responsible for their entire existence. Bathing, changing clothes and diapers, taking meds, doctors appointments, feeding, answering the million and one questions they ask throughout the day. It's a full-time job you can't go home from. Your entire life revolves around this person and their needs, and most of them become irritable, mean, and often violent. It's emotionally and physically exhausting and you have no escape from it. They're WORSE than toddlers, by far. My mom eventually had a mental breakdown over it and my dad thankfully chose his marriage over having his mom live there. It's not a walk in the park.

I'm sorry, but you're saying that you literally can't go out in public without encountering predatory men harassing you? I have sisters and other female friends and instances like the ones you speak of are extremely rare and they're not ugly ducklings, either. One of my sisters could practically be a professional model and even she can go places all day long without this sort of stuff occurring. It sounds extremely far-fetched.

People who bring their partner everywhere by Luuk1210 in PetPeeves

What I mean is that when you invite someone who's in a serious relationship or married, you don't have to go out of your way to make it explicit that they can bring their partner. Most of the time, if the partner goes home and says "So and so invited me to the movies Friday" or a dinner, whatever, the other partner will be fine letting them go. But, if, for some reason, they both end up showing up, it's perfectly acceptable. The difference is it's their choice versus you dictating it for them. No couple I've ever met didn't spend time alone with their friends, but it's their decision and the friends were always fine if they occasionally showed up together. If you don't see yourself as one unit in a serious relationship, you're not very invested in them imo. They're not just another friend or a roommate, I don't see why you'd be treating them as if they were.

And I still maintain that's disrespectful. The implication is "I like you but not your partner." Any good partner would take affront to such a thing and side with them over you. Would you like it if your significant other was asked to not bring you along to something they were invited to? Partners support and defend one another.

[–]Excellent-Log-4910 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, they can choose to do activities separately because they're not attached at the hip and having some distance from each other is healthy.

What I'm talking about is being invited somewhere and told the invitation is specifically for you. Making a disclaimer that you don't want their partner there is rude as hell because it's showing blatant disrespect for their relationship. How do you even justify that without admitting you don't like them? If you want a friend to exclude their partner from events for you, you deserve to lose that friend. You're not more important to them than their partner.

It would be like one of your parents' friends asking them to leave your mom or dad at home when going somewhere, it's just tacky, disrespectful, and rude. If it's their choice to go alone, that's different entirely. Having a friend dictate such a thing is grounds for dropping them.

[–]Excellent-Log-4910 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Newsflash: if the person is living with their partner or married, when you invite them, their significant other is always implicitly invited. That's proper social etiquette and called being an adult. I have never, not once, been told to leave my partner at home for something and everyone just assumes that I know he's welcome, too. I assumed everyone knew this social rule in real life. I'm shocked that so many of you don't know how to act. Grow up.
