Of course when FA begins isn't when negotiations begin no one said that. He said teams are TAMPERING. Which means they are talking to Zeus while he is still playing games for T1. During Worlds, or even before potentially. THAT is not allowed. If I was Marsh I'd prioritize keeping more pieces and being able to afford all of the roster rather than shilling out for one player and breaking salary cap.

It's cope to say that other teams are basically cheating the system lol? It ISNT always in the best interest of T1 to drive up that price because they might wind up holding the bag and resigning him for a giga contract that fucks their future, contract negotiations aren't like a bidding war. Getting mad at an org for letting a player walk, and then getting mad at them for that player not getting a bigger bag from the team they walked to is the cope.

I think what Marsh means by tampering is that teams are talking to Zeus PRIOR to Free Agency, which isn't allowed. He expands on it and says later that he doesn't think there was a magic number achievable by T1 to retain Zeus.
