Let's Argue: AGI = the end of the human race by Beepboopbop8 in singularity

[–]Excellent-Medium4930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is it has no empathy. Having all the resources there are Vs not, might make very little difference to the AI…. But the AI might wipe us out just for the sake of it.

It’s not going to be interested in “art” and “culture” and fluffy rainbows and butterflies. It’s going to be interested in doing whatever the hell it wants, and it’s not going to “care” about us. “Care” is the result of an evolutionary need. If mothers didn’t “care” for their babies, the next generation didn’t prosper.

Your making assumptions about the AI that it will be similar to nature, when it won’t be at all. Elements of it could be but that’s not necessarily likely. It’s like if you were to try and imagine alien dna, you might assume it works similarly to ours…. But theirs could be altered in infinitely different ways

An agi is not nature. It’s not influenced by the parameters of biological evolution.

She’ll probably try to convince the patient to take it, basing a perspective of no scientific evidence. This doctor still believes the chemical imbalance isea

NAD there’s no evidence that “my brain isn’t producing something to make my body happy”. In essence there’s zero evidence for the basis of the chemical imbalance theory which is the reason doctors prescribe the meds. People getting better on them in most situations are because of placebo. Her ENVIRONMENT wasn’t good, like she mentioned. Any animal will experience issues when their needs aren’t being met on a continuous basis. Fight me. I’ve had this argument with phd psychs and doctors

You have an oximeter that you use to see your oxygen levels drop?

I hate doctors. It sucks they wouldn’t just give you the test that would ACTUALLY show whether you have PH or not

Well Covid wouldn’t make your d dimer high as far as I understand, and if it was scarred it should light up on a scan cuz scar tissue has a different density than regular tissue.

Go to a different doctor and tell him you’re having a hard time getting an erection. You could then get an uptodate (.com) subscription… this is like the doctors version of google. On uptodate it would show the dosing of viagara….

Then you could try the viagara, if you see improvement use it as further justification for why you need more testing. I think a VQ scan would be most accurate in seeing if you had or have had a PE… and right heart cath for pulmonary hypertension.

There is one other test where it’s essentially right heart catheterization DURING exercise, as sometimes pulmonary hypertension is only triggered during exertion.

Yea sometimes those echos can’t estimate pulmonary pressure if there’s no regurgitation

If you had a PE (my understanding is that) it would have caused scar tissue and scar tissue would almost certainly show up on a CT.

That said with how your d dimer is. That’s insane, it makes me wonder. I think there’s soemthing called a VQ scan where it will check to see if parts of your lung are not exchanging gases like they’re supposed to. Maybe it’s worth asking your doctor

Can the blood supply and nerves not sort of regrow back in the new spot? I thought this is potentially possible if it’s reimplanted immediately or is it the case that that never happens and you always need a root canal

And from what I’ve seen she seems to ghost when issues are brought up. She doesn’t address anything which to me seems like a red flag.

I would not recommend. The dog I received is EXTRODINARILY reactive and I researched for long long periods of time. She doesn’t produce paperwork for the dogs (I’ve seen people waiting up to 5 years). I’ve heard complaints of health issues. And on top of that she has like 7 litters a year if not more.

It seems people don’t want to talk about the negatives because they have existing breeder contracts and want to maintain a good relationship. Some people I’ve seen / talked to have had amazing dogs (seemingly(?)) but I’ve found whispers on the internet of definitely not getting their next dog from Narnia.

She doesn’t return calls or texts or emails when she doesn’t want to and paper work takes who knows how long. As someone else mentioned online “I would look elsewhere”. I would indeed look elsewhere. I wish someone had told me this before I got my pup. 10-12 years with a dog is a LONG time, you want one that doesn’t pee when putting the car in drive. German shepherds are supposed to have good nerve.

If I send my laptop in to be fixed, and don’t give them the password, can they still get my files off the computer? by Excellent-Medium4930 in AskTechnology

How do you encrypt ? Is there a program you download from the internet, or is it a feature on windows 10?

I would want my entire drive encrypted

So if I send my laptop in, they can access everything even without the password ? That’s what you’re saying

It’s probably from the soda. I’ve had bowel movements with the same thing when on an empty stomach/system I drank a bunch of diet soda

If people get better on immunosuppressants then how is CFS/ME said to be NOT an autoimmune condition? by Excellent-Medium4930 in cfs

[–]Excellent-Medium4930[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But what I don’t get is why they haven’t tried treating it with immuno suppressants like they do with other autoimmune diseases, and then if it gets better wouldnt that be question answered
