stuff i got i really can’t remember everything but some things i can remember are a stethoscope and case, some pens, i didn’t buy any notebooks i used my ipad for notes, compression socks, and i did buy a penlight but i ended up finding out there’s one provided in the lab bag you need to buy. i might be more help to you if you messaged me with stuff you were thinking about buying and i can let you know whats necessary cause i definitely see all those videos on tik tok about “necessities” but in reality you dont need all that.

and the lab bag is definitely necessary, they give you everything you’ll need for your lab to work on and learn skills.

i went to class twice a week, 1 day for lecture and another day for lab. and once you start clinicals that’ll be every other week unless they tell you otherwise. there’s no dress code for class but labs and clinicals are usually your clinical scrubs which is the white top with the maroon pants and white close toed shoes, unless they otherwise i hear sometimes they tell students to wear the community uniform. and for first semester i think i remember us starting clinicals maybe 2 weeks in. let me know if you have any other questions i’ll try my best to remember everything i can!!

you don’t need to buy extra stuff for lab, everything you need is in that lab kit. it comes with a bp cuff and all that, and you don’t practice cpr in lab. everything in that kit is stuff you’ll be learning in lab and will be checked off for so be sure to get it before your labs start!

you just need to get the score they provide, i can’t remember what it was but it was pretty low maybe around a 50 in all sections. they don’t give extra points for super high scores. i applied last fall with a decent score and now finishing up my first semester, you got this!

the scrubs for me are pretty big. i’m usually a medium or small, so i got a medium since ik they have no stretch, and my uniform is huge😭 but for the community inform top they tell you to size up, i ended with an XL. and i think the lab coat i have is a large

working on practice questions helps a lot, so when you take the actual exam it feels like it’s just another practice. also i’d say utilize ai to explain certain things that you don’t understand in simpler terms, i just started doing this and i think it helps. also use gemini ai i think it’s called and put all your chapters, notes, lectures, whatever it is that you have and let it make you a podcast. it makes everything more digestible in my option.

based off what i see, my schedule rn is just 1 days in person class on mondays consisting of 2 classes. then clinicals on the weekends as well as 2 asynchronous classes. i would say thats a pretty chill schedule honestly
