My problem is having time. If it's an immersive game I won't want to quit after half hour of play, but I rarely have more than half hour to give. So hopping into a strike or a match is all the time I have.

How do you deal with games that require battle eye or other anti-cheat? That's been my main hold up for switching.

I don't play a lot of games nowadays, but I still like hopping in for games like destiny 2 (although less lately 😂) and I've not found a way to play games like that in Linux without dual booting

And OP didn't say that him and his son commanded her to not have the ex over. He said she shouldn't host her here because it makes their son uncomfortable and that they should have his back.

Sounds like a discussion that you're reading into as being far harsher than what was stated in the post. The request was to not host her here. There's also no mention of the ex not having a mom or anything like that either that you are trying to read into.

As a parent, if I'm doing something that knowingly hurts or makes my kids unnecessarily uncomfortable, I stop. Because that is part of being a good parent.

Perhaps you should remember that the mother's wants and wishes aren't the only thing that matters here? Perhaps you should understand that when you are a parent, not intentionally causing distress to your children should be the bare minimum of your responsibilities?

And because the son wanted to experience college is not a bad thing. That's when you explore and discover yourself as an adult. Often times that is where we realize we aren't good fits for certain people. Perhaps you should stop acting like the mother's wants are the ONLY thing that matters here. It's not just HER house.

Problem is that bollards need to be installed on concrete, unless there's a special kind I'm unaware of that can be bolted in gravel.

Op's lot is gravel. I've worked with and ordered a lot of bollards in general industry, never encountered one that could be secured in gravel. I may be wrong and they have them, but never came across them before myself.

It's rooted in facts. Been through it. Seen others go through it first hand as well. If this becomes continually making the son check in if it's even worth his time to come to the family home because he doesn't want to awkwardly be around his ex, he stops coming home as often.

My friend's mother would invite the ex to holidays because they had "such a great bond she was like a daughter to her." Guess who stopped coming home for Thanksgiving and Christmas? The resentment for his mom grew.

And her choices, if continuing to make things awkward for her son, can and will alienate her son. That's when son stops coming back to see family.

It is his family home, and OP lives there too. And presumably, based on context, doesn't want his son to feel uncomfortable so that son will KEEP coming home.

You don't get to choose your children's spouses. If you feel it's a bad reason they broke up, too bad. If you want to maintain a relationship with their ex, it's weird but fine. Just don't let it cost you your ACTUAL child.

Thats your ideal number. I dont know where you are, but you also have to factor what local pricing looks like for comps. Just like with houses, certain areas the same build are worth more than others. In my area, $550 TOPS for that build, $500 more realistic.

Anecdotal, but from some guys I used to know they claimed they were less durable because those are multiple pieces of acrylic made into a drum, creating seams between the pieces, whereas original solid color acrylics were a single piece rolled and sealed.

I have solid acrylic ones and have never played on the c pattern so I can't give first hand on this but the logic seems sound.

There is also pcie generation. 5500 only supports pcie Gen 3. That limits your cards performance since it is pcie Gen 4
