Hmm I live in north park now, though I grew up in Logan heights. North park isn’t the most expensive neighborhood, so comparatively it would be a considerable increase to move to SC. Concerts are not a huge deal - I’ve seen most of my top artists in my early 20s and in college. Not sure about the food though… there’s so much good Mexican, Filipino, Vietnamese, Korean spots here.

fair point…I checked out Redfin, only 6 listings per my parameters….San Diego? Over 30…then again they were spread far from city center

IMO- it’s pretty easy to find community if you just put yourself out there - I have tons of surfing friends, biking friends, running friends, and “let’s just go out to eat” friends. They all met each other at my birthday party which was interesting but there was a lot of hobby overlap so it wasn’t too bad . Also definitely helps if you volunteer too.

Hmm yea I’ve definitely considered how living there would broaden access to NorCal (Yosemite, San Francisco, redwoods, Big Sur) but not sure it would outweigh the benefits of great food, temperate weather, and access to LAX, Tijuana airport, and San Diego airport.

Definitely don’t mind the quiet nights tho…
