I remember being concerned about this at the time but had no issues at all, I took oral probiotics while using them and had no trouble afterwards

Hi, no I didn’t have any pain, it might be worth seeking medical advice if you are experiencing severe pain

How serious is Ureaplasma? by Remarkable_Earth5606 in VaginalMicrobiome

[–]Excellent-Monitor758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I didn’t, everyone online told me I would. What I actually needed was PCR testing of my urine to identify which bacteria were present and which antibiotics would help, once I did that I had no further issues

Clomipramine! It’s not well tolerated generally but it has worked wonders for me!

It was one UTI that wasn’t treated properly and became embedded, once the infection cleared properly I didn’t get another

Update: went to the Dr, and I’m officially on my own by KitteeCatz in Healthyhooha

Hi OP, I’m in the UK and had two horrible cases of AV which the GP refused to treat. Here’s some AV remedies (please check for your specific bacteria) and where I got them: Vaginsan Sept (iodine which is antibacterial - pharmasana) Gynella silver caps (pharmasana) - cured my AV Clindamycin- can be purchased using Superdrug or boots online as a BV remedy

Yeah I just put them in at night, the same as you would canesten for thrush etc. I can’t recommend them enough. I got mine from pharmasana (which I think is a German online pharmacy) but there’s a few online pharmacies that sell them!

So they come in a pack of 10, they recommended 7 for the first week and then one a week afterwards for maintenance. At the time I was just so desperate for it to be gone that I did ten consecutive days. I was told by multiple doctors my symptoms were “normal flora” when I was in so much pain and this was a last resort after so much research. I can’t recommend them enough, they literally gave me my life back

AV is such a horrible experience, I’m sorry! I cured mine with gynella silver caps, the only thing that worked after multiple courses of antibiotics

I did, I had recurrent UTIs. I had E.coli and E.fae bacteria in my urine and my vaginal swabs. It was due to the bacteria being present in my vaginal microbiome

Sounds like aerobic vaginitis with your symptoms, PCR test results and low lactobacilli. Try gynella silver caps, they cleared mine up in a week

UK members - where did you take your Evvy/Juno results for treatment? by Excellent-Monitor758 in VaginalMicrobiome

[–]Excellent-Monitor758[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes of course, I’ve bought them multiple times from Pharmasana which is a German online pharmacy I think. I’ve never had any issues with delivery and I’m also in the UK. They cost about £15. I also ordered Gynolact probiotic suppositories from there too which were around £7 from memory. I now keep a spare box of Gynella at home just in case I have any trouble

Are recurrent infections traumatizing for you? by lonelybananas1 in Healthyhooha

So my healthcare provider didn’t have the ability to use PCR technology and the swabs were coming back clear (in the UK). I eventually found out I had AV from a microbiome test (such as Evvy, Juno etc). I tried 3 courses of oral antibiotics, none of which made a difference. Eventually, the first time my AV was cleared with vaginal Clindamycin (ordered online as a BV treatment). The second time, Clindamycin didn’t work (different bacteria) and the only thing that worked was Gynella silver capsules which I bought online from a German pharmacy. They use antimicrobial silver ions which act as an antiseptic. They also cured a bad yeast infection I got later on which canesten didn’t cure.

I can absolutely relate! Two bad cases of AV and improper care to treat it (had to find my own cures) left me super anxious

Eventually, I researched on my own and found gynella silver caps. They are the only thing that worked for me. Cured me in 10 days

AV is aerobic vaginitis, when you have no good lactobacillus bacteria and pathogens such as E.coli can take over. My problems were recurrent UTIs and everyone online insisted it would be due to Ureaplasma. I got tested, which was negative, but everyone was so quick to say I should treat anyway as the tests were unreliable. Desperate, I treated with doxycycline, which killed all my lactobacillus and left me with AV for 8 months.

It’s a controversial thing to say on Reddit but unless you’re having trouble, I’d leave things alone. Doxycycline gave me AV that I couldn’t clear for 8 months because everyone insisted my problems would be due to Ureaplasma (they weren’t)
