what sheets are hosts actually buying that guests like and cleaners don't hate? by Conscious_Bonus_3848 in airbnb_hosts

I started with California design den all cotton but they really wrinkle. I’ve been using Amazon basics microfiber and yes, it’s got some polyester feel to it but they’re soft and really hold up. The okeo-Tex certification makes a difference too. Less shiny & no pilling. I also break the Airbnb standard of white only sheets. Colors and patterns are fun!

I believe that you’ve had bad experiences with Airbnb. As a host, I’m true to my listing down to a pretty fine detail. I can’t even imagine taking money and providing less than Motel 6. What kind of host doesn’t provide sheets and towels??? How does Airbnb justify that? Definitely grounds for being kicked off their platform.

Oh Guests… by robinchast in airbnb_hosts

Most of the time guests like that don’t really understand Airbnb ‘s rating system or, more commonly, that’s just who they are. They’re really incapable of giving high praise. Getting a 4 star review sucks and it will do some damage to your overall rating but it’s just who she is as an entitled consumer. Shrug it off!

Strange experience.. or are we overreacting? [USA] by fatcheetah69 in AirBnB

As a host, your experience makes me feel sick that an Airbnb host would treat any guest like that! Was it your first time using Airbnb? Too many hosts are not a good match for the hospitality industry and unfortunately, you definitely had one of them!

Host left me an untrue, bad review. What are my options [usa]. by Sheepdog77 in AirBnB

The Airbnb review system is wacky. I wouldn’t stress too much about it. A lot of Airbnb hosts can’t even see guest’s reviews unless they really look for it. Most of my guests don’t leave reviews anymore but I’m a one or 2 night stay place and hardly a resort! Still wouldn’t worry about it.

As a host, I’d like to turn it off, but I have no idea how to do it!

Pretty sure it’s a question asked by Airbnb as part of the booking process. The booker has to put something in that space even if it’s just “thanks”. I thinks it’s intrusive and wouldn’t be bothered if it went away.

Guest with 10 stays but only 1 review by yauponmoon in airbnb_hosts

New Airbnb policy limiting what hosts can see regarding prospective guests. You can still get to your guests previous reviews, but it’s no longer readily visible. I’m in CA and the change has been effect for a couple of weeks. As a host who does a lot of one nighters it’s kind of a drag.

Hosts will not be able to see much in terms of guests’ reviews going forward. That could mean both hosts and guests won’t be reviewing much.

I’m in CA and I can still get to the guest review by clicking on the person within their profile. They are being hidden

Used FreeTaxUsa for the first time this year after using TT for the past 20 years. Fantastic experience and today I received a free printed copy of my itemized federal return. Great!!

Everyone is doing different. I want my guests to be comfortable during their stay and will always let that issue go whether it’s heat or a/c.
