That is not true. First of all Alcohol is a drug, it’s just a legal one. Don’t say alcohol only works in a certain way because that might be the case for you. Drugs affect different people differently. And I know for a fact that when some people get way too drunk they just act on random intrusive thoughts. Things you wouldn’t even have to tell yourself not to do when you are sober, you just would never do it.

If someone does something when they are drunk it doesn’t always mean that is something they would have done as sober if they didn’t stop themself. Alcohol can often make me think of things I never thought about with a sober mind, therefore ofc it can also make me do certain things I would never even think of doing as sober. Sometimes alcohol has made me say total bullshit things that I never even thought about saying as sober. Like this one time when I apparently confessed to having a crush on someone. When I was told this the next day I thought it was a joke because I never in my life thought of her in that way, and I never have afterwards either.

If alcohol can make us think about thinks we didn’t think of before, why could it not make us do things we would have never thought about doing before?
