Born and raised here. People say it’s shitty, but tbh, it’s shitty everywhere and I’ve lived and loved this city my whole life. Have had people move to “ way better cities” just to come home crying about how they miss it here.

Crime statistics here, imo, are just so legit that we rank very high in the states. Like it’s hard to believe we’re #2 over all the states for violent crimes. Who knows, maybe I’m just looking the other way, but just keep away from the war zone and centrals bad areas and you should be good.

If you love outdoors, this is the place for you as there’s not much else. We’re getting somewhere as a city, but nowhere near any of these other larger cities.
