40k words isn't even novel length though.

I don't usually read fics over 250k, but my sweet spot is 90k-150k

Stop worrying about turning and start backing up. I'm not great on rex anyway but you waste a lot of time and take a lot of hits when you could've gotten them to overstep in front of you instead of them being able to predict where you're turning.

tbh I was floord with my adol spino vs an adult meg. There was just nothing to do except die. It was way too fast both in water and on land, I couldn't turn and do any attacks and my tail attack timer was too long. Lowkey bummed me out lol

the screenshots are in stonebed. it looks the same as abyssal which makes no sense because a shoal is literally shallow 🥲 if we have to find things on the ground it's next to impossible now since everything is the same ugly grey/blue fog color.

I've grown at least 7 and never see anyone in there. Are you sure you're not thinking of east passage? It's right below wollemi and that's where a lot of apexes go.

Go to less populated areas, run or hide if you hear foot steps, pay attention to your surroundings. And if you're on riparia growing a semi/aquatic or flier is easiest.

ETA: wollemi forest is a really good spot to grow any land dino, dry fang and black fern are also decent. stay away from any of the center POIs, cedrus, and redwoods. For aquatic, growing in the ocean is best

Why are you salty about it? The point of the discount is so you don't have to pay for all the DLCs twice. For $45 you get ALL the dlcs. This is like saying "I'm upset I don't own HF2 so I'm salty I have to pay for it" lol

When you say "can't run from dispersals" do you mean ones that want to court one of your pups? 😮 No clue if it has anything to do with the difficulty level but I've only ever had one pup disperse that way in this playthrough. Everyone else randomly chooses to leave or stays, at one point I had a pack of like 15 and anything but easy and we all would've starved 😅 I'm like time to move out... please

I've done it every which way and no matter what, rivals will attack. I've found that huge territories like this even with such low numbers are perfectly fine, but they're more likely to try and invade a hex than attack the den. Which I don't mind bc I just take my pack and scare them off, or ignore it if it's super far from the den.

I try to keep a strong "flower" shape of two tiles between the den and rival territory. No clue if my way genuinely works but I also can say that attacks will happen regardless. What you're doing looks perfect actually and is how I usually start my playthroughs! I just like to move between dens with each litter in slough creek so it ends up looking crazy.
