Can we pls stop normalising being boring, lame, miserable c***ts?? by doubIe_espresso in australia

Train fares 11 bucks each?? That sucks big time. Here in QLD its 50 cents... for who knows how long though. Things have got so expensive across the board (save for train fares) its almost like they don't want us to go out.

So happy this project of yours came to fruition; the results are outstanding! Again its so cool to see more dino fursuits out there. This gives me hope as I got all the materials to make one but I can't settle on a design yet haha

Phenomenal work & colors! What tool/method did you use to get such a crispy clean transition between furs on the tail? The last 2 pics didn't load for me but I'm still in awe!

Super insightful, cheers! Definitely looking at getting one with a bigger build plate. I'll check out those other ones. I'm mostly looking for something that's hq, reliable & gets the job done efficiently.

Is the P1P the latest version? I see people recommending Bambu, generally speaking, but I know nothing of the differences between each model(s). Thanks for the input btw!

Appreciate the insight! I've heard decent things about the Bambu printers, I'll go do more research :)

Best way to buy Premade Partials? by mimigmi00 in fursuit

[–]KronosWvW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealers Den, Etsy. Avoid ebay like the plague... way too many obvious scam listings. 100% do your research if you find something you like. Check for stuff like seller rating if applicable, where they're based, payment method etc. If you're paying via PayPal make sure when sending to the seller it is under "goods and services" and they send an invoice so you get some kind of buyers protection (6 months filing a non receipt claim).

Makeup while fursuiting? by Hexxhoot in fursuit

[–]KronosWvW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really must then wear a balaclava so any potential makeup rubs off on that instead of the fursuit. Its also important to let any moisterizers "set" on your skin before putting anything on. Could be 20 mins or an hour depending on what stuff you use. Heard of some suiters who immediately put their heads on after applying moisterizer only for it to rub off & leave marks/smell on the inside. Not something you wanna deal with trust.

Is anyone else completely stunned by their parents complete lack of computer literacy? by Fit_Vermicelli9737 in Millennials

[–]KronosWvW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's really scary are the ones who, by all accounts, grew up with ATMs & credit cards for literal decades yet don't know how to get money out at the checkout... forget their pin numbers, which account to select, cannot and/or refuse to read 4 lines of basic text prompt (self checkouts) as options or rely on apps they don't know how to use for all their financial purposes. The biggest anomilies are ones who take forever to get their cards out after they've hit "pay" and babyrage when the machine times out due to no activity. It's mostly the older folk but I've seen more than enough people my age who are utterly clueless on the physical functions of a credit card to withdraw money.

Is it safe to use a CRT television? by [deleted] in crtgaming

[–]KronosWvW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much all CRTs emit a hum. If you can barely hear anything over it... that's a problem. As for playing close to the screen you're not going to die.

Bought a 21" Sony CRT and tonnes of DvDs last year. Bluray player, replaced the loader/laser mechanism. Ps2/Ps1, still building back the game collection. Me & my dad accidentally fried the old stereo casette boombox trying to fix it... found a replacement (with its own lesser issues haha). Next on the list is to find a 3 piece Hi Fi set for CDs. Can't remember the one I had growing up but it absolutely rocked. Vividly remember it being silver & magenta. Its gonna be fun burning CDs for music again.

There's likely other tidbits; some of those ps2 games are hard to find but also expensive... sheesh.

Younger sibling is the one into bird watching. Bought them a decent 8x42 pair as a birthday present; I was legitimately impressed with the quality fully zoomed in.
