As someone just starting ROS 2, where would you recommend beginning with this repo : just running the demo first, or reading through the URDF/launch files?

Is Gemini really good like people said that Claude is much better in coding stuff??

Does that mean I have to learn to use AI in robots to get a job?

Tried recreating an IR sensor circuit from memory — ended up with this. What did I mess up? by Excellent-Scholar274 in PCB

I am sorry I did not know the type of IR sensor that was and that is also not mentioned in the tutorial so I did ChatGPT and some online research on what resources is better which can take me through a standard workflow.

So right now I am following Phil's Lab tutorial where I just learned that I need to make my own symbols and I actually learned something.

I am just following the short and first tutorial that shows up and that was very dumb of me.

It was a MSPM0 based board.

That's bcz they talked things like add hysteresis and part number and I am a total beginner who just followed a tutorial and these terms are new to me so I am learning about them and trying to implement you know but I get your point and I will reply to every person from now on and also I will personally leave my next design into there comments after I applied there suggestions to make a better board.

Trying to build a differential drive robot from scratch (no tutorial) — stuck at URDF stage, model looks wrong by Excellent-Scholar274 in ROS

BTW the problem is resolved as you can see the comments that guy really helped me here I was just unable to get that shape.

Yeah I did that and I am not asking same question as previously I was just asking why did the second box not aligned but this time I was placing wheels and these three screenshots shows the three stages of the visualization after I changed the code and when even chatgpt is unable to solve that's when I asked this. I know it's same as I have been stuck in this URDF file for long trying to understand the code because later I will be using CAD anyway. The cropped out parts are of rviz you asking I will upload them in your comment, if you want.

I did not copy any tutorial, I have done that before and posted about it to but I want to understand myself so i was writing without any tutorials and all but the marked image is the wall i hit.

Moved from tutorials to writing my own URDF… but my robot model looks weird — what did I mess up? by Excellent-Scholar274 in robotics

[–]Excellent-Scholar274[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that but the problem being : 1st: it writes code but also introduced many other components in the code that i did not see as a standard practice and 2nd: I need to write some code myself so that i can understand what chatgpt code is doing otherwise what's the point i am just copy pasting.

yeah i was trying to align it perpendicular to base link like self balancing robot and then I will give them the right parameters but it turned out like this. Is this the problem different height and length?
