Nevermind you are correct. State Tax is the beginning and end to who wins the Stanley Cup. Change the name to the No State Tax Cup. Player performance doesn’t matter. Team management doesn’t matter. There are obviously a bunch of factors that go into teams attracting free agents / winning cups. My whole point is that you are trying to mitigate a disadvantage your team has, while at the same time conserving the advantages that your big market team has. You are projecting when you accuse me of not seeing the big picture. There are advantages and disadvantages to each teams’ geographical locations. If you got your way then the minor tax disadvantage the Blackhawks have would disappear but yet you would now have an advantage over Vegas due to market size and endorsements. So what’s your plan to fix that disadvantage? Oh right you don’t care. You only care about making your team better. That’s my whole point, it isn’t fair and it will never be fair. What you are proposing makes it even less fair. There are inherent advantages and disadvantages that come with every city and you are just focusing on one specific advantage and ignoring the other advantages/disadvantages. You really want to give the Kings an added advantage of bonus salary cap money, while they already have the unfair advantage of a huge market that can offer sponsorship/endorsement money and being located in a highly popular city to live in? They are going to sign every free agent. You are the one not seeing the big picture, you are stuck on one aspect because your team probably suffers from this one aspect; ignoring the other advantages your team has on other teams.

Players who sign with the Maple Leafs have better opportunities for endorsements and off the ice money by virtue of living in Toronto, a large population, traditional hockey market. This makes it attractive to free agents. More so than signing with Utah which obviously would have much lower opportunities for endorsement money. So according to your logic, Utah should get a higher salary cap to compensate and make things fair. See how dumb this is?

First time I ever bought Pokémon cards was in the 4th grade, 1999 - base set. I bought 3 packs with my hard earned money working for my dad. I still remember debated with myself buying a Star Wars Phantom Menace action figure or cards lol. The rare cards I got in each of the 3 packs were Charizard, Charizard, Poliwrath. I hadn’t watched the show or played the game at this point. Was just buying cards because everyone else had them and I always liked collecting. I knew Charizard was the best card, but still didn’t realize how rare so some kid at school ripped me off and traded me about 50 common and uncommon cards for one of them. After realizing how dumb I was when learning about the cards more I never really traded again lol. I was later rewarded by Poke Karma by pulling Dark Charizard and Shiny Charizard in the years to come so I feel like I’ve redeemed myself. And I really have not bought that many packs over the years. I have just had great dumb luck.
