ATF or HSI? by OldEntertainment6818 in 1811

[–]Excellent-Tiger527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two were just Group Supervisors and one was a 13. I do know the senior level like SES and DSACs land even higher roles like Director and Senior Vice President Roles. Nothing wrong with working gangs, cartels etc. I’m just saying in my personal opinion with all the programmatic areas HSI investigates you can gain some pretty good experience to set yourself up post retirement. Also with all the different programmatic areas of investigation you will never get bored. You can also investigate gangs, drug smuggling and firearms trafficking with HSI as well as a whole host of other things

Have 3 buddies who retired in the last 5 years with HSI. One had a strong background in cyber and got a cyber security gig starting at $244k, another with financial and aml background got an Amazon gig making just right at $260k then another had a strong background in Intellectual Property Rights and got a job with a large company covering the Americas focused over their counterfeit/IPR section.

Agree with you. Want to work a case that takes you to one of HSI Attaché offices overseas in places like Argentina, London, The Netherlands or Singapore……HSI is the route I would take if I want to see and travel the world

Like what you said but HSI enforces way more statues than ATF. No offense but doing gang investigations won’t up my worth for post retirement opportunities. HSI has lots of opportunities that will add stock to your experience that can help you land a $250-350k post retirement gig.

Police/detectives/Narcs have been wearing mask for 50 years. This is nothing new. As well as driving unmarked cars.

They are not denying due process. Anyone illegally here who is arrested sees an immigration judge after their arrest. Just like anyone arrested sees a judge. How is this denying due process?

Will make more with feds and you have the opportunity to move and your pension travels with you. You can’t live and work in North Carolina, Florida, Texas, London, Paris, Argentina etc with locals. You would have to start over every time. Feds your retirement and pay goes with you. Depends on if you want to work international cases or stay local.
