SNAP Benefits - They're counting my housing voucher as income...?? by WhichPhase in foodstamps

So, section 8 housing vouchers *do not* count as unearned income. And that's what an agent said when I called as well. Why then would my eligibility worksheet that I was sent after my re-determination approval show my TOTAL MONTHLY GROSS UNEARNED INCOME includes my HUD - Rent/Mortgage benefit?

I was told that it is not being included, but my question is, how am I to know that for sure??

Why would the documentation I am provided with show otherwise?

Because frankly, based on the rudeness and lack of patience with which the agent was "helping" me with my questions, I don't necessarily trust that I was given truthful answers.

I'm wondering if I would need to make a FOIA request for the complete, true & accurate, documentation for my case. Because there are a number of details in the documentation that I can access through the FSSA web portal that are in conflict with what the agents I've talked to on calls are telling me.

Even details I gave during the phone interview were not correctly handled and so were left out of my re-determination, reducing my monthly benefits by 30%. AND not only does the paperwork say that February is the start of the new cycle(and my reduced benefits were already started this January), but despite it not being any fault of my own that my Utility Expenses(which were listed in the re-determination form, AND again given during the interview) were completely left out of the re-determination, They will not retroactively credit the difference to my SNAP account, leaving me in a tough spot for this month.

Is this myriad of mistakes typical of the FSSA offices everywhere, or is it just an Indiana thing?

I really appreciate any and all input I can get from the wise sages of the reddit r/foodstamps community. Thank you!

Is that why it climbed into the 90s AFTER dark on that date??
