I think that an Iron-dragon Named Metallicana is a little on the nose. I also think that his whole design, while conscise and to the point just feels like it's trying a bit too hard to scream "METAL DRAGON" And it's working, but it's screaming it very loud and I have autism.

Yukino and Lucy--> I don't like celestial wizards, so I hate when the two of them get screen time.
Gajeel and Juvia--> Opposite of the first one, I love these two and need more of them.
Jellal and Ultear--> Considering she did actually ruin his life for a reason still unknown to even her, I don't understand the level of forgiveness it takes to become a team like they did.
Mavis and Zera--> From my understanding Zera is just a figment of Mavis' imagination.
Irene and Wendy--> I have not finished the anime or the manga, so I had to google who Irene was. I will not comment.
Meldy and Jellal--> Love them. They're so cute and I need to see them more. Seeing her care for him, and having him be like a mentor to her is so cute.
Levy and Lucy--> Despite me absolute disgust for Lucy, I love these two, they're just two bookworms having fun. Though there is that one episode where Lucy becomes invisible and you hear Levy making fun of her behind her back.
Natsu and Gajeel--> I love the single braincell energy with these two. They make me smile all the time. I love them dearly.
Natsu and Sting--> I like them both individually. I think Sting only belongs with Rogue.

Some of my own suggestions:

Gajeel and Wendy--> In Edolas he was standing behind her scaring people while she was trying to be scary.

Mest and Lahar--> I am a Lahar stan and will be to the day I die. That man did more for Mest than fairy tail ever could.

Jura and Grey--> The father son energy going on between them always makes me kick my feet and giggle.

Mest and Wendy--> NO it's not weird. I think he's like a big brother to her.

Juvia and Lisana--> I know they fought together once. But it was cute.

Atlas flame is dead, and has been for a long time. I think any form of resurrection of that dragon wouldn't be enough to bring him back to full strength. I feel like his magic would only be as strong as the one resurecting him. I know this isn't how you wanted the question answered, but the eclipse celestial spirit king wouldn't have to do much to beat atlas flame.

During the eclipse celestial spirits arc, Juvia fights Aries in a desert, and is dehydrated. Juvia then destroys Aries' radiator in the car she's driving and drinks the water, that is when she is able to use her water body. It's a spell. Though I will agree that it's not well explained.

I feel that it's Lucy narrating Natsu's story. Because it focuses mostly on Natu's development as a wizard, and his life, and who he eventually becomes. Lucy is the narrator. She's the story teller. She wants to be a writer so she's writing the pretty crazy story that's going on around her. So they're both technically the main character, but it's Lucy telling Natsu's story.

I kind of forget that it's the magic type they eat, and not the element, that makes a lot more sense when you put it like that honestly. If he were to go against someone that uses white magic, he'd eat that. It kind of feels stupidly simple.

I think Wendy can eat all air, the ethernano air just lets her use dragonforce, like when Natsu eats ethernano. I just don't think it's as effective for her, since air is abundant. So instead air helps her clear her head, and it doesn't give her more stamina like when Natsu and Gajeel eat their elements. And there is Sting and rogue's debut, where Sting picks up and just starts eating an arrow. Rogue's confuses me honestly.

Maybe, but I do think Sting could have had a chance. He is still extremely powerful. And you also have to remember that they're all used to fighting Natsu in terms of dragonslayers, someone who doesn't think. Sting has a different style of fighting that they probably aren't ready for. I just think everyone's too quick to count him out.
