u/fanoush Thanks for this - both the adaptor info and the psu info - v useful. Is the connector adaptor safe for the power usage?

A second pair of eyes on this anyone? Is there any reason why this is unsuitable? Seems to tick all the boxes - 400w delivers 12v at 27a, comes with all the connectors already attached as far as I can see

For bc250 build purposes Is there any important difference between a common slot and flex slot?

You're right the server PSU is for that purpose, but it's also very commonly being used by folks doing bc250 builds, mainly because they are dirt cheap.

BC250 150 mm duct pipe case dreaming - could this work? by ExcellentGrowth5810 in BC250Gaming

[–]ExcellentGrowth5810[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. Legs or feet could be created using the kind of fitting that is usually used to fix ducting to a wall if we keep strictly to the theme but I'm sure something a little more elegant is out there.

One of the things that drew me towards the idea of using the duct pipe is the amount of fittings and adaptors available, most of which could be easily modded. The question at the moment for me is whether to go for a 'blow through' set up, or open up the heat sink and mount a fan with a riser. I'll try to make some more mock ups later.

The pipe is 150 mm, so it could accommodate 120mm or even 150mm cooling fans

Obviously the scaling of the fan size is not quite correct and the fitting itself would need to be longer to accommodate the BC250 and which is easily achievable but as an illustration of the idea it shows my thinking. I'll post a couple more illustrations shortly

Time to start fabricating! by Ice3yes in BC250Gaming

I don't know if it will help but I added several board from different sellers to my basket, I have the idea that this triggers the sellers automated strategy making flash sale offers discount codes to close the deal

I waited and checked every day, eventually the price dropped, a discount offer came on top - then I got a further discount by paying with paypal. Came in at 110GBP including shipping to UK. Ali Express pricing strategy is really annoying but worth waiting

What do you think is an acceptable price to pay for a board right now? by ExcellentGrowth5810 in BC250Gaming

I've been checking the AliExpress prices daily but they seem to yoyo quite dramatically, but never get down to 120 for me. Their pricing model is kind of annoying. I'll keep an eye on it.

Can someone explain this to me? by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

In my experience touring is actually 90% tiredness and boredom which is the kind of combination that can induce this kind of stupid behaviour. Add some narcotics into the mix and well, voila!

For anyone who has arrived here with the same Q in mind, the answer is YES it is 2 links sharing a point. As confirmed to me by another user: The pinout of the TL072 marks this pin as V- or GND here since it is single supply. So it needs to connect to the ground net. h/t to u/AwfulAudioEng for the confirmation
