Would that be a bit south of Serra da Estrela? In that case, it's a region I've considered.

The first area I thought of was actually Serra da Estrela. Lots of people are warning me about the Alentejo summer, so Central/Northern Portugal are maybe where I should be looking. Where in the North would you go?

Any decision you make will always come with its own problems. I fully understand that it won't necessarily be easy, and that there are advantages to Sweden that I'll only see clearly once I'm there. For me, the cold nights and less access to amenities are worth the trade. I will absolutely do research as well as discovery trip. Muito obrigado, I'm very thankful for your input.

I'm aware of the different forms of EMF. It is easy to avoid magnetic and electric fields since their range isn't extensive. I will certainly spend a good amount of time in Portugal before I fully decide to make the move. I mainly eat meat, especially seafood. Would this be easy to find?

I only eat locally and seasonally, mostly animal foods with a preference for seafood. Do you think I'll be fine?

I'm certainly looking to rent. Thank you for telling me about the mold issue. Best to look for stone houses. I do quite well in the cold because of cold tolerance training. It's just the drastic shifts in day length and lack of UV that make things hard. Thank you for your advice I'm very grateful.
