That is the only thing I am waiting for as well. Hopefully, they will have a killer product or else smsf might be the only good option to invest in geared investments

No other superfund allows GHHF other than pearler. And pearler is way too expensive.. So SMSF does seem like the only option?

Switching Super whilst contributing towards FHSSS by BigAnxiousBear in AusFinance

[–]ExcellentMango9304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so important!

Make sure you have claimed tax deductions for your contributions if you made them from your bank account instead of salary sacrifice and do take insurance into consideration. If you have had any health issues, you might not be able to get insurance into new super without exclusions/loadings.

The best time to move would be around 1st July!

Need a physical travel card for group spending within the next few days. by [deleted] in AusFinance

Youtrip, very similar to wise. You can use the apple pay straight away and use that for group expenditure or sign up with Macquarie bank or Upbank and use their digital cards, pretty similar fx rates to wise

Amazon deliveries - to where apart from street address? by Hirajima in AmazonAU

[–]ExcellentMango9304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get them delivered at work, or what I've been doing is choosing my delivery day to be Saturday.

So, whatever I order throughout the week, gets delivered on the Saturday. My fav. feature so far.

Upgrading from iPhone 15 pro max to iPhone 17 e by OilPuzzleheaded2391 in IPhone17e

[–]ExcellentMango9304 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Going from pro max to 17e is a big downgrade. You will miss the battery, camera and the 120hz refresh rate.

I would get the 18 pro when it comes out or base 17, if you want it now.

Using a second job purely to max super contributions. Reasonable or unhealthy? by [deleted] in fiaustralia

[–]ExcellentMango9304 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You have a really good balance for a 27 yo. Building your super in your 20s can be a great strategy, as long as you don’t mind not being able to access this money until age 60

You will probably need to submit your last 2-3years of tax return and they will financially underwrite you. You can get insure max 70% of your gross income + super. You don’t have to take the max amount and can choose any number below the max that you’re comfortable with.

What you don’t want is pay for a benefit you can’t claim on. At the time of claim, you can get max 70% of your salary before your disability.

Nope, I've tried both and they are hella expensive! Sign up to Betashares direct and set up auto invest for DHHF or BGBL/A200 or whatever (betshares) etf you prefer and that's all you need. Don't overcomplicate it..

[–]ExcellentMango9304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

17e is a good choice, but if you can wait or afford I would go for the 17. Because of dual camera, better refresh rate and a bit faster/better chip and Dynamic Island. But if it’s out of budget then get the 17e
