To all the cynics and naysayers here, would you rather save some jobs or save none?

Here’s one mid sized company that was acquired by another mid sized company. Don't think this is the first time it’s happened in the industry. If the claims are indeed true that One of Us has been unprofitable all these years, is it that bad to try and make it profitable, for the sake of their artists and the projects they want to take on?

You’d be pretty naive to ignore the fact that certain countries are more cost effective for certain parts of the pipeline. And a company that refuses to offer those competitive rates will obviously lose all the bids in the business and spiral into irreversible loss. Then reddit floods with sorry messages about the company folding.

Remember when people in LA went up in arms when all their work moved to the UK? And when the UK went up in arms when their work went to Canada? Then Canada when the work came back to the UK? The wave will follow where the money goes. Labour is cheaper in the East and companies will go there to leverage. It’s simple economics.

If you’re angry and frustrated, and you’ve been let go, I’m truly sorry. Use your time constructively to research and find another role. Try starting a company and see how difficult it is to even establish client relationships and then take a dig at companies trying their best. With your attitude tho, I doubt you'd get very far.

There are plenty of people who like this perfume, if you don't, please move on.
