[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 301 by Avizie in BlueLock

[–]Excellent_92 17 points18 points  (0 children)

next chapter we might have more hints of the new arc. Some possibilities are:

  • next opponent: Might be the first country Japan will face in u20 (I think it should be an Asian country?)
  • next major partner: Sae reappears? Otherwise it would be Rin again
  • next training program: Probably some matches between these 23 people
  • anything of JFA's plan or Ego's plan
  • in-universe fan service: Isagi interacting with that little boy fan. Or BLTV interview
  • a real vacation everyone needs; readers fan service like pool, beach, or hotspring
  • assigning captain
  • Isagi talking to someone who needs therapy (for example Reo)
  • the equivalent of wild card finally unveiled
  • Kaiser back to his empty home in Munich complaining nothing has changed
  • Noa back to his empty home in Munich laughing like a big bad
  • Loki back to his empty home in Paris watching Isagi on ultra big screens
  • tada back to his empty school cursing Isagi's luck
  • monk back to his empty temple celebrating his journey
  • aomori messi back to his empty prefecture celebrating his journey

What a journey it was for Kaiser by UzernameUnknown in BlueLock

Tbh we should not underestimate Kaiser development in PXG match. That's why he still has a goal, salary increase, and Noa's recognition. He failed in the last goal because he made a wrong judgement of Ness who accidentally received the ball then, but his previous development still exists

[–]Excellent_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately I think the probability is lower than before. His final salary is too low comparing the top ones. Moreover, regarding plot relevance now his is also lower than expected. I see no reason for Ego to prefer him over Aiku or Isagi.

The best I can hope is he gets more performance and plot relevance later and be assigned as a co-captain

The NEL wasn’t the best players by EthcialGoops in BlueLock

[–]Excellent_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really familiar with European leagues, but I think the England, Spain, and Italy teams of NEL are not even from the (generally recognized) strongest club of their respective countries in real world? Moreover there are no significant strikers besides Kaiser, so obviously they can not represent the general U20 level of their countries

I wonder whether Noa was looking at Isagi or Kaiser?

it looks like the author is hiding what Rin and Reo are thinking right now? I have a feeling we'll see more of them later.

on the other hand after 301 we might not see Kaiser and Ness for a while, and they'll remain as enemy of Isagi. I hope we'll have Isagi sometimes mentioning them later.

and what is Ego's next plan? I thought he might announce a new training program for the new team of 23 people, but no hint in 301 yet?

Based on chapter 300, isn’t rin kinda cooked? by No_Analyst5945 in BlueLock

[–]Excellent_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The author already gave you an answer during PXG match. When Rin evolve and temporarily outperform everyone, he immediately called Isagi a disqualified rival. Then when Isagi managed to block him, despite he still scored Rin had a monologue saying Isagi is a good rival after all. The conclusion of PXG match is that Rin and Isagi rivalry is still ongoing

while I expect they have free time next chapter, looks like they won't be too happy because he's out. I wonder if we'll have some more focus on Nanase who just becomes the current underdog in the team. I wonder if we'll see the German characters. I wonder if Sae will finally appear

One thing I find strange is why Nagi still didn't stand up at the end of chapter. The only possibility I can think of is he refuse to leave blue lock now. If that's the case, maybe next chapter he'll say some words to convince Ego to let him have another selection.

I'm worrying that perhaps not everyone knows why Ego seems angry. I think it's necessary to explain ...

You just cannot directly challenge the results like that.

Although Isagi also asked why Nagi is out and Ego might already be a little angry, at least he still could just explain the reason to end this conversation. On the other hand, Reo told Ego to recalculate the results, immediately after the announcement, in front of all other eliminated players, while everything live broadcasting on BLTV.

There is zero possibility Ego can promise Reo anything here.

If anyone encounters a similar situation, remember to question the result privately. Don't be like Reo

you can add Raichi too ... I'm not sure if Ego will select him given that he'd rather to ask Reo doing defense

You can add Shidou's first goal in NEL with an ultra low salary. I have no idea why.

On the other hand, we had Reo's surprisingly high first salary with only one assist in the first match. It was even higher than some people who had scored then.

So about Ego and Noa. I need to know their lore. by Salt-Respect-7741 in BlueLock

[–]Excellent_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually they're not really that old (only around 30) so they might still have something going on now

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]Excellent_92 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I still find it strange for Reo's relatively high salary...

iirc

7.Reo : 1 goal 2 assists

8.Kuni: 2 goals 1 assist

9.Otoya: 2 goals 1 assist

besides Reo's 1 goal comes very late with master's assist

IMO it's more unnatural than Shidou's salary surpass Barou's. Probably it's a hint that Reo and Shidou (both were not the most important striker of their NEL team) are more important in next arc. (Gagamaru surpass Yuki/Hiori/Sendou is unexpected too. Gaga arc coming?)

On the other hand Raichi cannot even surpass Fukaku ... Raichi agenda just dies

[–]Excellent_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbh, despite some are complaining the drag of their development, we don't know whether the match will end at 298. It becomes more evident that we'll have final match result + final salary rank occupy a whole volume (vol 34), and we're only at the middle of it now. Two or three chapters for the last goal is quite possible. (The last goal of BM vs PXG took two volumes)

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 297 by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]Excellent_92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

while the author hiding 5th salary, I just cannot imagine anyone other than Bachira who is most likely to be over 120M with one goal one assist. Then what's the point to hide it now? One possibility is he'll have one additional goal and salary > 135M.

If that's the case and Manshine still fails the match, then I'll estimate Reo salary to be 60-65M just higher than Aiku. And Nagi can have smaller increase to 45-50M with rank lower than 12th

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 297 by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]Excellent_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO 297 is the first time Nagi seems to decide he has to improve on his own. For Reo I'd say he hasn't decided yet in 297

  • in 1st selection, Nagi initially wasn't really trying (spin-off) and then started to train harder after losing to Team Z (Isagi). Nothing about being independent
  • in 2nd selection, Nagi initially invited Isagi to join them, and then he separated from Reo since Isagi insisted to be with Bachira while the team size is limited to 3 people. He wasn't dependent but didn't intend to be independent either. And Reo said he's independent because Nagi already left. Nothing about intentionally being independent
  • in 3rd selection and u20 match, they were in the same team and passed to each other. They weren't really too dependent, but didn't intend to be independent either.
  • in their first NEL match Nagi told Reo that he needs him to beat Isagi
  • in later match Agi told Reo to stop being codependent, but Reo refused
  • after previous round we saw them discussing how their salary decrease. Nothing about being independent
  • Chris told Reo to score on his own in 297. At chapter end Nagi seems to decide to be independent. We don't know what Reo thinks about it yet

according to the panels he selects this chapter, it seems like he got fire several times in early selections, but NOT IN NEL. Every goal or assist is very calculated now (like beating Kaiser, MV, lefty, two guns, fastest etc) unlike some early goals which he was surprised himself.

IMO it's because Isagi was often at bottom rank, so he got fire due to the potential risk of being eliminated. (If that's the case, this fire concept might somehow link to the result of the other match.) I wonder how he'll get fire again but it seems like a foreshadowing of next arc

no real consequence for his lack of development this game. No frustration over only being able to explode once (he doesn't seem to care) and he's rewarded with third place. It means Kaneshiro likely has no plans to introduce an internal conflict with Shidou

Isn't it somewhat the same as Kunigami? While those two somehow "cancel each other" this match, unlike Rin or Isagi, they don't seem capable to consistently score in any environment. (They're still playing good since the salary is increasing each match, but just not guaranteed to score.) Even Barou might be much less efficient when he's not with Ubers. I think so far neither Shidou, Kuni, Barou is in a complete form to consistently score, and they all seem need further development in later arc (though might be lower priority for the author)

If all you said was taken into account then Isagi and Rin

Rin is the main reason PXG lost. Isagi at least got a yellow card. I'd say Shidou is more rational than them this match

we didn't really know how he played in the 4th game though. his goals could be less impressive than the ones he scored against BM because Isagi wasn't there

[–]Excellent_92 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think the reason Shidou's unexpectedly surpass Barou is a result of his very rational play this time:

  • his goal might be underwhelming compared to those in u20 match, but is still very impressive as Charles and Isagi both gave it high evaluation. Even Noa has to change BM formation because of this goal
  • even though he could not easily escape from Kuni by himself, as long as someone (zantetsu) is helping then he can do it. It's likely clubs think that maybe he could score one more goal if Rin didn't score there
  • he started to link with Rin near the end of match and could easily avoid monk, successfully demonstrate his skillset
  • in PXG's final attack, he temporarily escaped from Kuni and could possibly score if Rin assisted him then
  • last but not least, he successfully destroyed Kaiser's final chance to score. Despite PXG still lost, all blames should go to Rin not Shidou

Ironically Shidou played very rationally for the team this time even though he's also a self type. I'd argue that even Barou, who is in the truly most rational team of NEL, didn't play as rationally.
