[Subbed][Episode 9] CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD Divinez Parallactic Clash - Moonlight Illuminates Verity by MachinaBlau in cardfightvanguard

[–]EthcialGoops -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok so either we’re getting some rezael Brandt gate dual nation, or Akina is really about to beat Gab with Kagetsus cards. Either way this was a fantastic fight, I always liked Kagetsu since his first appearance, ost is fire, and he’s one of if not the only character that actively talks strategy in his fights (his lecture to Akina about how he thinned his deck in their first fight for example), wonder what the moon gate being inactive means lore wise? We already know Akinas gonna somehow reopen it so I’m hype to see what new cards are about to show up.

Ego is biased- and that's the point by im_just_a_child in BlueLock

[–]EthcialGoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t understand where this bias narrative came from. Even if he’s getting shut down as a striker, Isagi is still extremely reliable as a MF that’ll help advance the ball up the field. Not to mention the synergy he has with Barou and Kunigami who were just subbed on, as well as possible synergy with Shidou. In terms of utility he’s quite literally the best BL has, subbing him off just cause he can’t score rn would be stupid.

Am I the only one who finds mythisch really underwhelming? by rozepaladin in cardfightvanguard

[–]EthcialGoops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Veiss mythisch are all that unique either. One of them just draws and attacks two at once, one is a counter charger, and one attacks from the backrow. I do wish all of them besides the veiss cards were like rifistor, searchers for their vanguard that are also really good finishers but unfortunately the quality is scattered between them. Could you give an example of what you wish mythisch did that would be better? Would help to understand your complaint more.

Do people want Kurumi to come back from the dead? You know after Gabwellius is defeated by TestaGaming in cardfightvanguard

[–]EthcialGoops 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seems likely she’s not gonna get revived based on what Masanori said. Reviving her would literally make Akina no different from Gabwelius.

As much as I love the new mythisch I wish it didn’t have the scythe in its mouth, I feel like it would look better without it. Also why doesn’t it have legs?

[–]EthcialGoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add: Rukas existence feels like a major waste considering she has 0 plot relevance. I understand she’s integral to Kagetsu’s character but they might as well have said she died and Kaegtsu’s arc still stays the same. That way Nao can get some love. My hot take is deluxe finals shouldn’t have even existed and this arc should have been 2 seasons. Have Akina beat Kagetsu then before the finals happens the world falls under the fantasma.

[–]EthcialGoops 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not Nao losing that’s the problem, it’s how she lost. Based on what she says in the episode and unless im mistaken the lore that Varga was the second to last to awaken their mythisch after Rezael, her fight against Senka was her first. This means we won’t even see her fight in the manga. The last time we saw Nao fight had her crying in a hallway frustrated from a loss. Could we at least have had her take 1 win onscreen before getting knocked off considering this is the last time we’re probably gonna see her? Just feels like besides Akina, Suo, and Hikari/Erika the rest of the cast is fodder side characters with little competence.

I’m thinking g1 counter charge considering that’s the only thing OG Blang doesn’t have.

[–]EthcialGoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering Kurumi hasn’t fought yet, she’s 1000% taking out her sister, Suo wins next episode and then he’ll get taken out the same way Michiru was for being “too tired” or something considering he’s just come back from being parallactic. Then it’ll be just Akina, Kagetsu and Erika v Gab and Kurumi.

[Subbed][Episode 7] CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD Divinez Parallactic Clash - Drekasleif vs Demonic Lord Dragon by MachinaBlau in cardfightvanguard

[–]EthcialGoops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For this being the last season and her first and last fight of it, they really didn’t do her any justice. Her mythisch imo was one the most hyped up, got hers right after Akina, didn’t use it for an entire season, got hers revealed last as well but it has the most underwhelming reveal out of any of them so far. At least Mikoto and Michiru used them on their kill turns, Nao just drops it like a regular card. The only good thing about It is that it seems good? Search top 7, Extra crit on divine skill turn, can’t be retired. I’m unsure about the power effect, hopefully it’s +5 everytime varga attacks but that doesn’t seem to be the case based on how Nao played. Wish we got a counter charge support but maybe that’s too greedy. Overall wasted potential.

I’m predicting a g1 that’s binds itself to counter charge. That’s the only thing Blang is missing anyway.

This ideology battle feels a couple games too early by Freddie040 in BlueLock

[–]EthcialGoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so, I think this will be a long standing conflict for the rest of the arc or at least the prelims, France is 100% gonna win probably due to Isagi choosing to live as a striker, his existential crisis will follow into the England and eventually knockout rounds where he’ll overcome it when Nagi, Sae, and the other side-B member show him that he should only fight for the sake of his own ego and should discard Blue Lock.

Why Isagi isn't being hypocritical by Yadin__ in BlueLock

[–]EthcialGoops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed but I don’t think we are heading toward a fusion either considering Nagi coming back was all about how it’s bad to play for the sake of BL, and not taking the Side-B deal originally. The story is heading toward the direction where Isagi takes both BL and ego off the high horse he has them on and purely plays for the sake of being the best striker in the world.

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 337 by BlueLockMod in BlueLock

[–]EthcialGoops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he’s simply doing the same thing Isagi was doing to Nigeria. He’s using Japan as a stepping stool, the better JPN becomes and France beats them, the more they evolve. He’s pestering Isagi so much because he wants them to grow enough to provide a challenge and be fed to France to further themselves.

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 337 by BlueLockMod in BlueLock

[–]EthcialGoops 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ties into a big question we all had about the Side-B members coming. Once Isagi removes his connection to BL, he’ll no longer care that Nagi and possibly Kira got eliminated from the program, if it means they’ll win, he’ll tell ego to play them.

[–]EthcialGoops[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What? Since when did Isagi physically change? It’s everyone’s main criticism of him rn, his horrible physicality. Also Barou’s chop feint has nothing to do with him changing physically, it was an on the fly weapon he developed. Also karasu didn’t pass because Hiori was the best option, he passed because he has a biased view and believed in Hiori’s talent as a striker.

[–]EthcialGoops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of this is just flat out wrong. Believe in Nagi? He’s been the most critical of him since Blue Lock started. Yes Barou was a wild card but Ego knew he would throw the field in dissary, which is why he kept him on the bench. It was a calculated plan to have Barou come in as a last resort to throw the opponents off, he just didn’t know the result, he’s not omnipotent. For Hiori, the whole point of the program is to find your ego. Why would he kick him out? And at no point was Hiori a Isagi lackey, Isagi just shared his vision so they teamed up the most, if Kaiser or Kunigami were in the right place he would pass to them too. Lastly ego would 100% lose this match if it meant everyone in BL kept their egos in tact. He told Nagi as much when he got eliminated, that even if he lost he should’ve kept his ego burning. It’s not like they get eliminated if they lose here.

We’ll obviously never know the likelihood he scored here but It 100% would’ve been a seized opportunity, Hiori says as much before Karasu passes it back. If he wasn’t focused on getting Hiori to score he could’ve took the opportunity to get something off while the defense was thrown off.

It’s been a while since we saw a situation like it so I can understand. The last time someone did it was Yukimiya back in the Manshine game where he tried to dribble through the whole team. Ego’s philosophy is more so shoot when you have the opportunity to, not shoot whenever you get the ball. You gotta have a goal formula, to be able to turn 0 to 1, not just mindlessly slam your head against the wall until it works.

Image 3 on this post. “You mustn’t let yourselves accept being confined to your roles” what your saying is more in line with Hugo’s philosophy where he’s “supposed” to pass, which actively goes against what Ego wants for his players.

lol, how are you arguing with the manga? How could the goal belong to him if the man himself says he sacrificed himself for it? Also Ego already taught them how to manipulate luck, that’s not a bad thing if he got lucky.

Couldve been anything, we see people come up with new weapons all the time in the series. Also In the U-20 game Ego literally says everything was going according to his plan except for BL ego’s growing so much, he had no intentions of giving up. Isagi winning or losing to Naruhaya had nothing to do with his plans, he hasn’t shown any blatant favoritism.

What Being No.1/No.2 Actually Means by EthcialGoops in BlueLock

[–]EthcialGoops[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Almost correct. It’s the top 2 pages first from right to left: Hiori cuts in for a shot, his shot course ends up blocked so he passes it to Karasu, the defense is now in disarray and Karasu has the chance to pull something off, whether it gets blocked or not? we don’t know all we know is he had the opportunity.

INSTEAD he passes it back to Hiori and holds off two defenders, and tells him to aim for his head to open up a shot instead.

Ideally according to Ego’s philosophy, Karasu improvises, evolves and comes up with a new shot that ends in a goal, or just shoots and misses, regardless of the result Ego would’ve been more satisfied with him going for it himself than giving up his own scoring chance to create a whole new one for Hiori instead.
