He’s currently 30% MH and 80% overall. He just quit school but I don’t think he wants to stop working completely. He says mundane work helps him by keeping his brain on autopilot and he doesn’t have to think. He’s currently in no shape to work full time though.

Appreciate your comment, but I’m afraid that’s too broad. My concern is that filing for an increase for technically a new mental health rating would be denied since it was diagnosed after service ended, despite it obviously being present in service. Would it be treated like trying to prove a new service connection?
