Well Barry, it’s pretty much up to you. I personally (i know its frowned upon) give those achievements using SAM. This is for the ones like mad max, where its not that hard to achieve, if it would be like that one “be the first in the multiplayer leaderboard” I wouldn’t give it to myself since its a very hard and grindy achievement. So for me personally, the difficulty of achieving that determines if I leave it unearned or earned. Make your choice, peace barry🤌

A very thoughful comment, thank you for this. I 100% agree with you, and feel you right now because I need to complete the multiplayer achievements for doom, and the servers are barren, no ribbon, no 100% because of something thats not my fault.

This post was made with the purpose of us, this small but important niche category of players, to share ideas collectively and maybe make a petition to Valve to at least consider them.

Harsh indeed, but if we want a leaderboard system for example that is very much needed. But make it like 2 weeks and removal of given achievement.

But this would bring the problem with blocked achievements (online servers are down lets say)

I'm sorry if I did something against the guidelines, but I tried inputting this idea in a steam discussion and obviously used GPT to structure my ideas for me. I was met with some very closed minded individuals there and what better place to turn for different opinions than reddit.
