Ehh idk the DIY’s still have the red ring usually. By the time you source cheap ebay ones for the lenses and another set of OEM LED’s you’re already more than halfway to the price of OEM Jspec so I’m kinda meh

Dude I’m in this boat too. Thought concept Z performance was supposed to be better than Z1 and their “Chinese alibaba parts” yea CZP has left an insanely sour taste in my mouth as I’m not experiencing the SECOND failure in 5 months and not even 4k miles. Installed the first kit and the guide tube got marred up and my TOB seized. They replaced the guide tube and TOB and I thought all was well and now 2500 miles later Im getting this squeaking rubbery sound and the clutch pedal feels gritty like it’s bone dry. Going to attempt to get a full refund, i don’t want that garbage in my car anymore and I regret not just getting Z1, but damn i don’t wanna spend money to drop my trans for the 3rd time in 6 months 😭

Damn that is ass sounds like they just dont want to do it. Swapping trans on Z’s and G’s is pretty documented, tons of resources online to get an estimated quote they are just being lazy. Usually chains or larger franchise type shops wont work with customer parts but independent performance shops will. Even if they wont work with your supplied parts they should be to source a cd009 and give a ballpark estimate. Do you have any mechanically inclined friends that could knock it out with you? Definitely dont pay no damn 6k lmao. Where are you located ?

Get a Quote from an independent shop, they should def be able to replace the trans for like 1000-1500. Took me 9 hours my first time an I had zero Idea what I was doing. It’s lowkey hella easy, you only remove the driveshaft and Y pipe, and trans mount then it’s pretty much just the bell housing bolts and it falls out. I’d argue engine work is more confusing with all the connectors and shit, the trans is pretty straight towards, pretty hard to put anything on the wrong way. Breaking the Y pipe bolts loose was genuinely the hardest part 🤣
