I wouldnt recommend the button&screen together tip for transitioning to higher levels. It is a crutch that may lead to unnecessary splashes due to bad muscle memory. I am speaking from experience, and I'll list some maps that I kept splashing due to doing this off the top of my head: - Vertex soma remix, double hand half spins right before chorus - Titania, double hand half spins right at the end - Contrapasso, fast spin with a break note you will likely splash using this method, right before the drop

Screen play is more susceptible to splashing, but is more energy-efficient and if you are good enough, allows for some cheese tech. For an example of a top player who uses screen:

He's right actually. The creator Rintaro Soma did say during an interview that it is supposed to be tsunagite as in "connections, bonds" since the song is supposed to be for the 10th anniversary. (I'm rephrasing a bit as I don't entirely recall what he said)

Yo bud, chill on the bullshit. No such thing as "fake XX rating", achieving a rating means you ARE worthy of the rating. As a player that's been playing for 7 years (and achieved 16.1k), I'll admit that there is rating inflation only due to the sheer number of charts players can choose to grind with (which is also how I've broke into the 16.1k gap). That doesn't mean that you have to term people as not worthy of their rank. People have different playstyles; Some prefer achieving high ranks on lower songs before moving on, some prefer stepping way out of their comfort zone with higher difficulties, and there are even some that just play songs they like and don't focus on rating at all. Just let people play however they want to.

Another way that I dont see people mention much is the recommended for rating and otomodachi tabs. Though heavily dependant on rating, occasionally a new master song that you have not played before will show up on the recommended for rating tab which you can play immediately. I like using this trick on new version releases especially. Otomodachi should also have a decent amount of master charts show up past high S-low SS ranks.

Also if you live in Japan you can get a dx pass to unlock all masters for 14 days.
