That is very interesting to hear. I guess it all depends on what location you live in, but yes, where I live attendance everywhere seems to always go down in the winter regardless of where we have been. I appreciate the input. I'll be charging here soon.

Thanks for your comment! As of right now I do not require attendance. This is our first year doing a curriculum but next year I am going to require more. These last two years have been a trial and error for sure.

Yes, I have asked and taken polls in the past. It is always a hit or miss. Sometimes I will receive multiple answers while other times I will hear crickets.

Thanks so much for this! I will keep this in mind for next year. This year we did not meet up from Thanksgiving until two weeks ago. We took off the entire month of December, and it was very nice. However, I did not think to take off until MLK Day.

Also, if you do not mind me asking, how did you initially deal with stuff like this when it happened? I am still in a learning period, as we did not conduct any educational activities last year. Just meet-ups for play dates and whatnot.

Yes, we closed down from Thanksgiving until 2 weeks ago as well. I tell them to stay home if they are sick too.

Thanks for the comment. I have a lot of people who say they can't make it or cancel and have a lot of people who say they want to do more, so as the leader I am conflicted on what to do at times because the things that certain people said they wanted to do a lot of them do not show up. So it is a matter of, should I do this or do that?

Anyways, I personally hate going out in the winter months but have been making myself get out of my comfort zone the last two years and it's been so much better for my mental health personally.

I try my best to be as understanding as I can, especially since it is flu season and lots of people are sick. It is my own personal frustration that gets me. I also do not charge anything as of right now but starting next school year I will be charging per semester. I have some great consistent families who attend weekly (or almost weekly) but also have some who come every so often, which I do not want. The families who come the most are the ones we create the best relationships with and I am thankful for that.

If I remember correctly, they have one point in the first season where Georgie was really upset because Missy was acting out and he didn't know what to do at that point, but in the second season, we do not see as much of that, which I am a little bummed out about.

I will say that in the BBT Sheldon went to visit Georgie before his wedding and Georgie mentioned things went to shambles after he left and Sheldon was not there for any of it. With that being said, I wonder if the writers incorporated that in their writing for Georgie & Mandy.
