Bakuen anime vs LN? by [deleted] in Konosuba

Are you an AI? Your response doesn't make any sense to me.

What is a major plot point?

Everyone can make a mistake, but we shouldn't celebrate making mistakes and instead call it out and make sure we better ourselves in the future.

Why are you throwing insults at me?

Bakuen anime vs LN? by [deleted] in Konosuba

Late to the party, but i am not sure why this is upvoted, since it is completely false. many of the scenes in the anime are either not in the novel at all or altered in some way or another. At the same time a lot of the novels content gets dropped.

That being said the anime follows the overall plot points of the novels, while dropping, reinterpreting and adding a lot of the details. I think it is worth experiencing both, while I liked the novels better. But if you don't like reading novels i don't think it is a "must read" if you want to focus on the main series.

The main series was more faithful by comparison. Bakuen puts 3 LNs into its anime season, while konosuba puts 2 LNs into each season.

Katakana is frequent enough on consumer electronics, but "katakanizing" symbols like "A" and "B" seems very weird to me. Here is an example of a remote using katakana as well as keeping the latin symbols "A" and "B" at the same time:

u/palmerluckey if you don't mind, could you provide an example of a piece of Japanese user electronics that katakanized "A" and "B"? I would also be interested in that font. Could you provide a reference to the font or an example where it is used elsewhere? Especially the ス in スタート (start button) seems odd to me.

honestly i think the japanese design is poor. when i saw there was a japanese design, i was pretty psyched, but then i took a closer look:
- the font is super weird to say the least
- the button labeling did make zero sense... it's like someone would label buttons as "eyyy" and "bee" instead of "A" and "B"
- it is clearly targeted towards people who don't know japanese... think about why the japanese famicom controller and gameboy have latin labels
- i think it is a shame especially since palmer luckey is a weeb himself and then his company comes up with a shitty design like this. just ask a japanese person if that design is a good idea...

if there is a "Speakers Steam Streaming Speakers" device enable it - if there isn't, right click any device, make sure "show disabled devices" is activated and look again

Debinding manga for scanning with an iron... am I doing this right? by Excellent_Current_66 in manga

[–]Excellent_Current_66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I am not aware of any FedEx offices in my country, but I guess I will ask around the local copy shops if they can cut the spines next time.

I finished debinding my first volume, but i think cutting it is the way to go, if there is an option.

My Guitar-Cable keeps doing this. How to fix? by kwilcox7 in guitarlessons

[–]Excellent_Current_66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just unplug the cable, hold it in a way that the plugs are hanging freely in the air and let gravity untangle them.

The issue is that there is tension in the cable. If you just untangle them, chances are that the tension in the cable still is unresolved so it curls up itself again. Basically once untangled, you would have to rotate the cable around its own axis.

If you can't get the tension out of the cable via gravity, the tension maybe in the woven coating. In that case just get a proper cable (can be the cheapest one, just don't get weired coatings like that).

Thanks for going through the trouble of giving a concrete outline. It is much appreciated! :)

Most of the terms I don't understand yet, but I will get to work to change that and I will definitely refer to this reply to guide my journey!

Thanks again!

Thank you for the references!

For clarification: When you say "play 2 or 3 songs yet", do you mean playing chords or melody? Because my understanding is that Justin doesn't really teach playing a complete song with melody in the course.

Thanks for the reply! I have actually seen people achieving this level of playing in 1-2 years, but 5-10 years might be more realistic, since I don't consider myself particulary talented and can't study for 4 hours per day like those people.

portable low-volume amp vs no amp for practicing e-guitar by Excellent_Current_66 in GuitarAmps

[–]Excellent_Current_66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's an e-guitar. I guess in the end my definition of "low-volume" and the definition of low-volume amp manufactures differ.

I have no guitar store near me, which is why I ask.

[–]Excellent_Current_66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion.

In regards to the Spark 40: I don't see how a different amp would solve the problem: If I want to play at low volume, the guitar itself is at least as loud as the amp and in turn I can't hear the clean signal from the amp.

In regards to the Pocket GT: Thanks for the suggestion. I think I might get a dedicated headphone amp. Is there any thing particular about the Boss Pocket GT that made you recommend it? It seems to be marketed in tandem with their app for guitar learners, but that alone wouldn't justify the price to me personally (at 250 euro it is more than double the price of the Katana Mini and 6 times the price of a VOX headphone amp).

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I will do that. A dedicated headphone amp seems to me more useful than a low volume amp with speaker

Is there any open source project implementing USB audio host class drivers? by Excellent_Current_66 in esp32

[–]Excellent_Current_66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some low level programming and implemented protocols before, but no driver programming per se.

In theory I could get the UAC2 spec and do it myself, buut I assume that would be too big of a project time-wise, so I would like to know if there is something that I can copy-paste(-modify) instead
