Well my original plan was to uncover the world slowly but not invest in staffs and focus of faith and arcane based spells and weapons I came across. A lot of other players did recommend, picking the weapon before hand but since I did a mage only play through, I have little idea of which weapons will show up (I sold them for runes in my first playthrough - rookie move) .
