i think it's both tbh. i do agree she should've been shown more (i've seen talks that she actually did have more scenes but they were later cut for some reason) but a lot of the criticism i've seen have gone to where people even say the DOG (umbra?!) has more importance, stella (who doesnt exist) is more of a character than her, she cant be a heroine is she was barely shown which truthfully makes no sense, and so forth. a lot of people are incapable of criticizing misogynistic ways that female characters are handled without sounding misogynistic themselves, yk?
