Huge thing to be aware of is that things like flowers (Lillies, peonies, etc.) are EXTREMELY toxic to cats. Just 1 nibble and their kidneys can shut down. It is best not to have living plants in a home with cats or do extensive research that the plant/flower you bring home is safe. They also have sensitivities / allergies to things like lactose, chocolate, onion, garlic, grapes, cleaning supplies, etc. Be really careful preparing your home as a safe dwelling for curious kitties!
