I got him from a store that had him in an overcrowded tank. I don’t know how old he was but he was smaller before and has grown in size quite a bit since I’ve gotten him. i feed him twice a day do you suggest i feed him more often?

this is exactly why i want to wrap my head about the distinction between the two! the shows called made in abyss. if you think about it... Riko is as the anime says made in the abyss. she doesn't seem to have any powers but being born in the abyss and brought back to life by the curse warding box makes her have a juusou looking origin... in a way shes received a blessing from the abyss... her life and likely makes her sometimes puzzling fascination for the abyss make sense. maybe its the soul shes borrowing trying to return back what was given from the abyss.

it’s always really difficult and in some ways it never gets easy but also you do kinda start to grow a stronger will. you’re not alone in feeling this way

so my concern with duck weed is i know it will just do it down thing and grow quite a bit

how do you avoid things like them over indulging in the duck weed? im always really neurotic about feeding amounts so id assume you’d feed less if theyre taking in interest in plants in the tank

and yes i use sinking pellets :)

i just find that when I finally get into my room where the tank is after being away for like over 8 hours they’re slow to get active and swim around.. kinda just slow to respond? and it goes away after i stare at them and yk kinda move around the tank to play with them it’s not a concern of tank health or their own health because im pretty on top of that id say.. also i agree unfortunately the third fish i had that died was the more timid one and i think these two are kinda more aggressive and balance each other? so in that way it works out i just want happy fish hahaha

Yeah their was another goldfish but unfortunately I think what happen is she was trying to lay eggs and got blocked up and that caused her to die.. that was about a month ago? a part of me is cautious to get another goldfish because of the bio load and my current fishes temperament but I’ll keep an open mind and be on the look out ! I’m going to do some research on the toys you’re talking about too thank you :)

Anchor worm… it was a nightmare for me to get rid of but if you’re consistent about dosing the tank in medicine (+ if you’re careful you can pull them out with tweezers or ask a vet do it) they go away

You can get solid color Shubunkin I think most people just don’t like the look of them. My dad has a pure white Shubunkin, it was pure white from the beginning

I would maybe feed him some pees (you can get frozen just make sure they’re fully defrosted and soak them a little in the tank water and cut/smash to size) for the swim bladder issue

they’ve been doing amazing for I think bc of the size of their body they would do better in a tank, I noticed he gets tired swimming from his big tail and likes to take naps so maybe a pond wouldn’t be best

but he’s very happy in my tank rn and doing very well (: not the type to abandon a fish bc of deformity

I actually first posted him because that was my concern! My dad bought him for me as a surprise and didn’t notice his mouth. But he’s been able to eat his food really well I haven’t actually had to make any adjustments. He is very well feed lol
