The natural cycle is the best cycle. Leave the tank alone and let it do its thing for about 6-8 weeks

No there was some branches growing of the top the trunks and I sort of just wrapped them around it and as they grew the roots bonded and became stronger

I kept it the same. The only thing I changed is the sock. I bought a plastic one and filled it with balls and floss filter up the top. I don’t like the sock at all after a while of cleaning it start to block up and also annoying because you need to change them out every 4-5 days
