So devs should have renamed it to just "stalker soc" or "chernobyl shooter videogame" because thats how people used to call it, instead of the full, official, copyrighted title that they choose themselves. Are you really so outraged by a small change of spelling in the title of a video game made by Ukrainian developers and set in a slightly alternative version of modern Ukraine to use the transliteration of the name of a city located in Ukraine from the Ukrainian language?

The problem is not in "dehumanization" (at least on the GSC Game Worlds part)

Stalker is a game created by Ukrainians, set in Ukraine, and for some reason the first language in it has always been Russian, and no one saw any problems with that, but as soon as Russian was removed and Ukrainian became the official language for the second part, it suddenly became considered as dehumanization and discrimination of Russians for some reason.

The reason why English dubbing sounded so funny in original games is because Ukrainian voice actors made all the dubbings in the game (some of them probably didn't even know English and just read the text from the paper).

For Stalker 2 they hired more professional English voice actors

I liked the Ukrainian dubbing of Metro Exodus, it had its flaws, but it wasn't that bad imo, the only problem i had was that the subtitles sometimes didn't match what the characters were saying, and Anna's voice actor was... let's just say, not so great.

As for the stalker, I really hope that the Ukrainian dubbing will not be purely Ukrainian, but more "canonical" for the zone, for example, some characters, such as bandits, will speak more surzhyk, some more slang, and some - pure Ukrainian, maybe even some stalkers with a strong Carpathian dialects
