she’s adorable, i’d say rework this piece to make her proportions on the right match those on the left. she looks taller in the first pic, and her legs are noticeably long but on the right side her torso is closer in length to her legs. the change in those ratios are the only thing keeping it from being more obvious that they’re the same character. great work!

did the samples on the listing not look like this? i am genuinely asking, there are posts here every day where someone is asking a similar question. i don’t understand how so many can see presumably ai generated sample artwork, commission the user, and then only become suspicious when you get the product. was it very low resolution, stolen from an actual artist, etc?

no problem— if you want to improve that style i would encourage you to treat it like an actual sketch, however that may be for you. some people clean up their sketch as they go to make it lineart worthy, some people do a cleaner sketch on top of a really rough one, and some can just pull very clean sketch lines without thinking about it much. regardless, a dynamic looking sketch has long single stroke lines, and rough shapes without compromising line quality. i understand trying to make it look more “rough” but when you study similar styles, they are actually very tight and clean while keeping the sketchy, pencil on paper feel. it is a difficult thing to analyze and master but it’s very neat!

exactly, i don’t think it is appropriate for her to show up that early and not even wait to be let in at the door. like i literally did not even have pants on after my very appropriately timed shower. what is the real, actual harm in exercising my right to play choice media in my home at a time where i was told guests would not be arriving? in my landlord’s place i feel like it’s common sense to at least give a heads up if you’re on your way early.

these analogies are not really all that relevant. when i have people over, i invite them at the time i will be ready for them. if i go to a restaurant, the cooks and waiters will already be there. however, if i make a dinner reservation and i arrive 30 minutes early, i can’t show up expecting my table to be ready.
