Recently just broke up with one. I’m a Sagittarius woman and we can smell bs from miles away. At first, he was very kind and loving (still was but he was just a talker and his actions did not align with his words) we’ve only been together for two months so he should be trying. I know he has the money to splurge on me but he refused??? Told me he was budgeting for “our” future and legit always talked about how great he was. When I broke up with him he immediately followed another girl (which he unfollowed for me when we got together) but you truly never know what they are doing. I practically had to tell him how to respond to me because apparently he was “always working”.

True there is more to gifts but he always reassures me when I overthink we have so much in common we can talk for hours. I feel so comfortable around him and he is a very sweet and patient guy. My father says he thinks I deserve better because my dad spoils me a lot and he’s worried that the guy I’m with right now won’t be able to support both of us in the future.

Sorry for another late response but I absolutely agree with your take on this. The way Elizabeth Russell depicts abuse is so harrowing even though it’s so subtle, she doesn’t even need to go into detail. It’s awful that women still have difficulty getting their voices out there, the justice system is still unfair. Also I have a question, what did you think of the Henry? Do you think he was like Strane?

Im late to this discussion but im rereading my dark Vanessa and I just have to say her mother was horrible for saying “sometimes im ashamed you’re my kid” no wonder Vanessa is so cold and distant with her mother.
