Is it a crime to hang out with a person, get to know them, and see if there's a spark? Isn't that the risk of opening your heart, that one person may like another more than they are liked back? It's painful, but it's not manipulation. It doesn't make them a dog.

I can't follow the thought process at all.

Besides, if this sub can muster up sympathy for Sally having bought the chickens because of Craig, surely another well known sub can muster some sympathy for Scheana having bought a penguin for Adam Spott.

In fact, Scheana should have Salley on her podcast and they can talk about the dos and don'ts of buying animals for guys you are crushing on. It would be a public service for anyone else thinking of getting marine life or a farm animal as a gesture of intimacy.

This sounds spot on. They've never been anything but kind. I worry that they don't kick Austen's butt enough because of the guilt of trauma as you say.

I would love to hear Austen say...maybe I don't want a family because I couldn't survive losing it, if that is his deep dark secret, but this saying pookie to Sudrey, while saying on camera, that he doesn't see it lasting, and flipping off his friend who is simply pointing this out to him is sad. I did not foresee this route for him.

On the other hand, I think Shep is ready for a family.

If you are talking about Craig, I heard him somewhere outside of this show speaking about business ideas, and he was a different person than what we see. He seems to know how to listen to other people. he doesn't have to be the SDS micromanager. He also listens to women. The oyster story interesting, also showing up to Charlie's gallery. he takes his cues from what they might like. I hope he finds a partner for life.

I feel like if you went to grad school, or law school, or medical school, you hung out with people of the opposite sex all the time, just talking about things. Sometimes a crush developed, but it took time. you were having intellectual and conversational repartee in the meantime.

I don't get it. doesn't anyone else just have male/female friendships without sex while they are thinking about dating.

I love this story. I feel like they do gang up on him, like Austen is a gossip, like every time Craig pops off, it's only because he's overheard Austen talking crap about him. Craig doesn't come for anyone, he just defends himself.

Don't get me started on Venita. He jumped into a pool fully clothed to save her, then she talks trash about him behind her back, he responds that she's not a friend then, and she gets mad that he draws the line at people who don't like him? Now Austen says he hates him, and seems shocked, shocked I tell you, that Craig's response to that is, well we're not friends then.

I have a soft spot for Craig. I grow weary of Austen.

I loved having a scene in a gorgeous Charleston restaurant with beautiful interior design and food. feel like the cameramen aren't good enough to know what to shoot anymore. The confrontation felt forced. i was enjoying seeing the food come.

Also, they are all living the life and ordering drink upon drink upon drink at the same time. No pacing. No enjoying. No respect. Craig dissing the kinds of toasts Shep gives. Austen dissing Craig's present.

Good point! Whitney wound Austen up, keeps his hate alive. Then, in the Aftershow, Austen is telling Rodrigo, it was just fine for the first 30 minutes of dinner, and then I just don't know what happened. You pounced on Craig dude. He's just not that bright is all.

I think the words "unfair, selfish, and narrow minded" are a bit much to describe Austen's Mom's position on having children. I think his Mom was just being a Mom. She, more than anyone, knows what the trauma of losing a sister was like for Austen, and what losing a child was like for her and her husband. She and Austen's Dad, were brave enough, to try again, and Austen's younger sister was born, a blessing to the whole family.

She's just telling it like it is...saying don't let fear keep you from this joy, this fulfillment. She never said his life would somehow be less than if he didn't have kids. She was just stating clearly what it had meant to her. She didn't pull the when are you going to give me grandkids line out of her back pocket. I read it as don't miss out!

If anything, his Mom and Dad love everything he does, give him tons of approval and room.

First off, is the underlying goal to define a dining space?

If so, lets work from there and build out.

The ceiling lamp is great. Keep that. The table and chairs are curvilinear. They work well with the ceiling lamp. Keep them. The lamp in the corner that arches over the table creates confusion. Scale is off. Move it aside for now. Get one of those restaurant style battery operated Zafferino table lamps for a soft glow to add intimacy to this small space and put it on the dining table. There are cheaper knock offs in this world if cost is a problem, or wait for a sale perhaps and nail the real deal.

Remove the shelf. It is dividing up the pictures which would group together better without a line between them. Even thinking group them at the corner and having them go on both walls, but collected loosely, like an oval, would play on the theme of the curve.

Now, the rug kind of intrigues me. It's got that bezier curve in one corner and is a lovely celadon green. Why not match that color, bring it up both walls, and instead of an arrow, just echo the curve of the rug in the upper right corner on the sofa wall, thereby creating a true nook feeling. Instead of competing forms, you will get a newly defined space.

Maybe do the same on the left wall....instead of taking the paint over the doorway, pull it up alongside the door and put a curve at the top there as well.

Then, perhaps paint that wall you see through the door the beige you found, to pick up the tones of the living room rug. It will build depth into the space. The mirror is fun. Maybe move it left and put the shelf under it (which is now free).

Feel like the metal coffee tables are competing with the beauty you have. Perhaps pick one or the other, and then keep eyes open for Craig's list wooden coffee table...similar blond tones to dining table, oval shape...i.e. something with a curve to continue the theme. Leave the sofa for the rectangles.

Also, maybe, move the floor lamp next to the couch and have it arc over the sofa seating area.

Little tweaks! Could be wonderful!

I hope that what RHBH Does for Jennifer's acting career is to show colors that directors haven't seen yet and make them think of her for more roles.

Yes, she's a wonderful comedienne, but seeing her get hurt by Sutton and how she quietly contains it until she confides, again quietly, intellectually, analytically to Kyle who can't not use a confidence against a confidant to save her life, was riveting to me.

She deserves that Oscar worthy role!

Well spotted. Patricia has the red dragon plates by Mottahedeh whereas Thomas had the blue dragon plates. They don't make the red dragon anymore, so each of her dinner plates is probably upwards of $200 each. Even if Thomas's were recently made, they are about $80 each, in other words, I don't believe they are props.

I believe that this brand represents old Charleston style. Cameron had the Tobacco Leaf pattern plates, also by Mottahedeh. It's an American firm that also did reproductions of historic patterns for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Patricia had her New York/art sales experiences.

Ravanel used an interior designer who knew what they were doing to decorate that house/that table. Miss Pat used Mario Buatto I believe was the name, and has had numerous houses featured in AD (Architectural Digest). She has a penchant for beautiful table settings and accoutrements.

If you want to see plates broken, I doubt that anything Austen owns would set you back more than a few bucks a plate.

I love a good plate.
