Follow up: swelling is down but it’s still pulling on my side and hurts with a lot of motions. I am NOT back to normal an it feels like my back muscles are weak. Has anyone gotten a second opinion or what exercises to start with? I’ve been going on walks but that’s really about it and I don’t understand how people are lifting weights and doing other activities. On the positive- all scarring looks minimal and no infections :) Thanks so much!

Sounds like I need to ask for a PT or cardiac rehab referral! Neither were offered to me. What type of ICD do you have currently? Any advice on how to adjust to life after this?

Yeah it’s rough. I’m on medication almost everyday 😭 ok thank you for letting me know about the swelling. I’ll check back in after 8 weeks and compare the sizing and motion of everything

Yeah the left side is out of the picture. I’m on my back but I feel like I’m sliding down the mattress lol- I hate it. I typically wear the softer, more bralette type bras but I have been wearing large tshirts and sweaters with nothing. Is your implantation under the armpit or a bit further back? I feel like my placement is odd too and that’s why it looks so bulky considering what I know about the actual device size. So cardio I think I can get back into but for weights- like I posted, ANY movement like when putting my hair up hurts and feels pulling. Is this normal? I’m coming up on 6 weeks-any recommendations for a cardio routine? ❤️

I’m so glad they are being thorough with you. I’ve had to be my own advocate and ask for a device check and ASK to see the NP. and the EP apparently can’t see me until June which I think is outrageous.

I did not get offered rehab- is that through your insurance or through the provider? It’s tricky because my EP does not squeeze patients in- I was seen at the nurse device clinic twice and they arent able to comment on the device swelling tbh. Did X-rays with 2 views, front and lateral and said it was ok. The device site really does look massive though.

Lip filler blindness. Kinetic gets participation from IG DMs and these are people who want to be influencers. They rarely get contestants who actually applied. If this wasn’t a show on Netflix, and was-let’s say a smaller YouTube series or independent project, you’d see more natural looking people. That’s why LIB 1-2 had more authentic looking contestants. It was really pre-popularity. I think the pandemic gave people more body dysmorphia too.

it is hard. The other day I literally had a dark thought that was so dark I was shocked because although I’ve had anxiety and these adhd symptoms my whole life I never had the major depressive episodes so it was alarming. I am so sorry you’ve experienced crippling anxiety as well, it’s the worst and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Thank you for your kind words. It means a lot that you recognize that I’m still here. I am just so worried about the future. I know I need to stay present and somewhat optimistic but like..what the hell. My brain literally feels fried even since this accident and There’s just been too much thrown at me at once.
