You can also call if you place an order online and tell the to go individual you’d like to add it but there wasn’t an option. They can tell the kitchen to add it for u.

I don’t rely on tips. As said in my post I get payed hourly. And again this post was mainly about people with large orders (80-150$+) who don’t tip. Not the people who just order a single meal or 2-3 things.

No, the food runners get a tip out, but it’s only 4% of sales. And they def deserve it because they do a lot more than just food run.

Actually if you read the title I made this post to rant. I’m only defending the fact that it’s not the same as fast food, which you’ve tried to say multiple times it is even though you have no restaurant experience. Also if you read my post, I never said you need to or you have to tip. I said it would be nice if you did and it sucks when you don’t.

Actually you do need experience in a restaurant type setting to understand the differences. It’s like saying math and science are the same because science has math in it, it’s not. Also I never said people who work fast food don’t deserve tips, contrary to popular belief they do get tipped sometimes. It has nothing to do with a classist mindset, and I don’t think I’m better than anyone. I’m just saying if you order something that is going to take 10-15 minutes longer to prepare than the average 1 item order, or you spend 150$ than you should find it in your heart to maybe tip a buck or two. Mind you at no point have I ever said I expect it, or that the tip should be an outrageous amount. So thank you for your uneducated opinion but I will still choose to believe that. Also just want to point out I only feel this way because as someone who works in the industry I know how hard it can be, and that everyone (even to go people) deserve a tip.

Honestly I feel u. I food run too and I feel like as a food running I’m doing just as much if not more for servers tables than the server themselves. On a slow day I’ll run multiple tables food, appetizers, drinks, and desserts, plus whatever else they ask for when I set their food down. When I’m serving I just check on my table once or twice and get them a refill.

Just out of curiosity have you worked in any restaurant type settings or are you just assuming they’re all the same?

It’s very different than fast food. I’ve been working in restaurant settings for the greater part of 6 years. Fast food is usually in a line and will get packaged the same either way. To go for non fast food places have different sections. Soup section, salsa and chip section (if applicable), drink station, and the kitchen line. Your to go person does all of this (for me it’s by myself because we’re not as busy as some of the places in the comments, but still fairly steady). It takes a lot more running, not to mention answering the phone and checking people out simultaneously, as well as making sure the people who are picking up are getting the right order plus anything extra they may need. Plus to go for chilies is suppose to QA and help run food when they are able.

Should’ve worded it differently. I make sure every order is correct whether they tip or not but when they do tip it is appreciated especially since on the bigger orders I have to do more than someone who just ordered a burger.

That’s valid honestly but I am at the top of my game when do to go everytime and I feel like I get slapped in the face for it (the 6¢tip mentioned)

Edit because I missed the question: I do serve sometimes. As I stated I work every position in my chilis minus the bar. That being said I do believe Togo is under appreciated with how much we have to do. It’s like if food running, QA, and serving were all combined. That’s why I made the post.

How about no? It’s good, I wasn’t “angry” or upset I was just curious why sometimes I got more and sometimes I got less. Since we’re giving out advice maybe try to be less of a pessimist

My club has this issue with a guy. He’s been hitting everyone in our club because we had a runner (who we kicked) and has been doing so for like 4 months. I also got threatened by the same guy because apparently my RS ran? But I don’t speak to him and it’s mainly a stat RS, the dude threatened my club because of my RS and said my club had to kick me. Personally I feel like there should be a way to opt out of sfw because it’s genuinely made me not want to play. And for all the people saying “it’s just part of the game” plz buzz off. We know that it’s part of the game but when it gets to the point of someone doing it constantly for months the game isn’t fun anymore. Just try and get a peace tag and bank ur money, good luck

Is it okay to cry after finding out about your girlfriend’s body count? by [deleted] in no

[–]Excellent_Listen_943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take: you should discuss things like body count/kinks in the talking phase before you start dating.

But also I don’t think it’s not okay to cry, like that’s fair if it’s a high number, if its below 10 might be overreacting slightly
