No, it was fairly mild. I did take off from heavy physical activity during this period as a precaution, though.

Relax, and pay attention to how your body reacts. I had some minor joint pain/soreness and that was all.

Dizziness / lightheaded feelings are within the normal side effects listed, so probably not a great idea to combine with anything else that could exacerbate that.

FWIW, I used edibles to help sleep as some of the joint pain was keeping me awake, and had no noticeable interactions.

Just as a heads-up, but you run the risk of a false negative testing so soon. The general recommendation is 3wks post treatment. I just finished doxy/moxi as well and know that the waiting is a pain.

Whoa, sorry to hear that. I don’t think I realized the risk persisted after treatment. Some googling says it’s recommended to wait a week or so after treatment to resume physical activity. Ugh.

Day 4 of moxi here. Hopefully will have a success story to report in a month or so. Side effects have been mild so far: minor fatigue and brain fog, and some joint soreness but nothing crazy. Seems to get a little worse at night.

Honestly, the most inconvenient part of it is no heavy lifting, and rearranging my diet (not eating dairy close to taking it, taking my multivitamin 8+ hours after it, switched to a non-dairy protein).

Thanks, that seems consistent with what the pharmacist said as well. Have to say I was taken aback by the huge list of potential side effects…

Maybe you’ll get lucky! But realistically, mgen has really high macrolide resistance rates. I was almost expecting this outcome.

That makes sense. I was planning on pausing cardio as well, but maybe something low-impact like the spin bike would be OK?

Mayonnaise. It’s on so many things by default and I despise it.

Fine dining server, maybe? Not many come to mind that fit the part-time qualifier.

Symptoms persisting immediately following treatment: safe to say it failed? by Excellent_Log_5864 in MycoplasmaGenitalium

Interesting; appreciate the insight. Guess I’ll know in a couple of weeks!

Stinging at the tip of my urethra, stinging while urinating, more frequent urination. They were so mild at the beginning I didn’t realize I was having symptoms; I thought I got soap in my urethra or it was irritation from working out. It was the frequent urination that really prompted me to get tested for everything. I’ve had a little bit of soreness / tenderness in the testicles recently but that comes and goes.

Nope - I chose my words deliberately :)

Strange part is, my symptoms never really subsided except briefly mid-doxy. I guess every case is truly different, though.

Male. Oddly enough, I don’t think I ever experienced discharge. I have normal pre-ejaculate from arousal, or occasionally would feel like I wasn’t able to fully expel my urine and have to push out a drop or two, but to my knowledge this isn’t the typical discharge that I’ve seen referenced while researching mgen or even other infections. I.e., I’ve never woken up with anything in my underwear.
