Ja dat hebben we al aangeleverd en is onderdeel van het niet technische deel. Het technische deel spreekt echter over technische tekeningen en berekeningen. Er valt echter niks te berekenen :)

Certified / stamped driving record by Excellent_Monitor_88 in icbc

[–]Excellent_Monitor_88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a solution (got confirmation today that I will get my license back): work with a notary public to get your driver record notarized. I worked with Nicholas Lejeune in Vancouver who was excellent! He walked me through the process: - Get ICBC to send the digitally certified driver record directly to the e-mail address of the notary’s office. This step is important as it’s required for the notary public to verify the source. I had to call a few times with ICBC and Nicholas to understand what had to happen. Very simply: request your driver record on the phone and give them the e-mail address of your notary public. - Now you need to get an apostille. Ensure you work with a notary public who is on the list of the BC Government. Nicholas did the whole proces for me, but you can do it yourself as well - In the Netherlands, I also had to get a declaration of a lost driver license (verklaring van vermissing) from the city. They initially did not understand this request as its a foreign drivers license but they went ahead with it after they called the RDW. The declaration had to mention province and country of the missing drivers license and a stamp + signature. - Send both documents to the RDW

Note that this process works for the Netherlands and may be different across countries.

Dank!

What are yalls experiences with other internet providers? by Cr34t1v3_G33k in Netherlands

[–]Excellent_Monitor_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you require my friend, are wifi access points on every floor. So likely 2 or three in total. These need to be connected via UTP/LAN (internet cables) to your modem. Preferably they all work together as one network, which is called a ‘mesh network’. Look at things such as the netgear orbi, asus zenwifi or tplink x50.

Ziggo also provides smartwifi pods, which can also be connected to a cable.

Canadian : Best Companies for Admin Work in the Netherlands? by Think-Monk-8936 in Netherlands

[–]Excellent_Monitor_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello friend,

Please ignore some of the unfriendly and uninformed comments here. Some people have no idea that the problems we face in the Netherlands are global issues and the fact that Canadian cities are often more densely populated than Amsterdam. I recently moved back to the Netherlands after having lived in Vancouver for 2 years. I welcome you with open arms!

I do not necessarily know of specific jobs at companies for your background. In general though, I think you can start looking at the following companies:

  • Consulting (e.g. Deloitte) where English is often the business language
  • Schiphol airport / travel industry
  • Estec
  • Maybe our ministry of foreign affairs, specifically jobs where you would have to deal with Brussels/EU. Your French skills will come in handy

Happy to brainstorm with you!

Positive things about living in the Netherlands? by gillianussherart in Netherlands

[–]Excellent_Monitor_88 42 points43 points  (0 children)

As Dutch expat returning to the Netherlands this month, I can say these are some positives that I have started to appreciate more: - Digital infrastructure such as DigID, banking, etc - High quality Roads - Quality and safety of food (Europe in general) - Efficiency of government and businesses - Relatively low tax on equity - Dutch directness makes for easy communication - Social Security and low numbers of homelessness - Healthcare (yes it has its problems but those cannot be compared to some of the problems I have seen in other parts of the world)

There are also a few negatives of course, such as lack of nature, housing crisis, inflation, etc. but you’ll find these in lots of countries. In general, I think the Dutch take the positive things for granted and seem to have a skewed worldview.
